  2. Yay for collar bones! Keep going!! (With the awesome wright loss and not the 'fro. I can say that because I have a bigger 'fro lol)
  3. Everything that was already said plus my favorite: water, water and more water!
  4. I didn't even weigh myself until the 5th day because of water weight. The scale was down and I was happy!
  5. I'm at my 3 week stall too! It's normal if you've already lost a lot of weight in the first two weeks. All of the vets say to Just keep following your plan!
  6. 10/22 - 244 lbs 10/30 - 242 lbs Thanksgiving goal: 229 lbs 21 days post op and I've lost 20 lbs. Might be hitting my stall but I'm not worried yet!
  7. Are you just looking for a pat on the back?? Praise?? If not, I'll slap you. 33 lbs in. Month is fantastic! Keep it up!
  8. I was sleeved on 10/10/13 as well! (In Harrisburg) I'm still feeling great... No complications here.
  9. Maybe you aren't eating enough calories?
  10. Awesome!! I think we don't hear as much about people having easy recoveries as we do about the hard and complicated ones. I'm just feeling lucky! I learned after my original post that the hunger might be acid which mimics hunger.
  11. I am embarrassed to admit it but it happened to me today. It's my 2nd day back at work. I'm 15 days post op. I have been eating egg salad (1 egg at a time) for Breakfast on soft foods and haven't had any problems until today. I was pretty busy and bc egg salad is familiar to me and I haven't had any complications, I became complacent and ate it quickly. Usually it takes me 20-40 min to eat a tiny meal. Almost immediately I felt sick and uncomfortable. An hour later I had to run to the bathroom! Yuck! So it's not just sweets that can cause it. Be careful how fast you eat! Lesson learned!
  12. MFP= my fitness pal I have mine set to 1200 cal/day bc my Nutritionist says if you have too few calories your body will be in starvation mode. She said if no exercise, 1000 is ok. 30% Protein 40% carb 30% fat As recommended to me bc good carbs are important.
  13. I'm in! I'm 13 days post-op so it's hard to say how much my body will average... I'll try though! HW 282 lbs DOS 256 lbs CW 244 lbs Goal by Thanksgiving: 229 lbs!
  14. Congrats!! Keep it up!
  15. My friend just mailed me Visalus sweet cream and it's a LIFE SAVER!!! I was having so much trouble with being able to choke down disgusting Isopure, etc.
  16. I am on my 7th day post op and have been recovering so well. I am supposed to be on a full liquid diet until Sunday morning but I am dying for puréed foods. This creamy soup stuff was great for a day or two but now I just want chicken and tuna and things like that.
  17. My surgery is tomorrow also and I have to be up at 5 AM and also feel like I can't sleep! It's okay though because tomorrow will be exciting and I'll get a nap during my anesthesia induced coma My original date was for 10/14 but I got a call on Monday that my surgeon is sick and another surgeon in the same practice was willing to cover but it had to be this Thursday. Of course I said yes because I didn't want to have to wait several more weeks. Good luck to you!!
  18. LBD that's not just crazy it's AWESOME!! And exciting!
  19. Also, I took my pre-surgery pictures today because most people lose 10+ lbs on the liquid diet.
  20. I just had my last meal too! Oddly I didn't eat a favorite or anything like that. It was just a meal I had in my freezer. I had imagined my last meal as more spectacular. Oh well! I'm scared for the liquid diet but it helps me knowing that my surgeon doesn't make it mandatory. I have some fruit and raw veggies on hand just in case!
  21. You look skinny already!
  22. You look skinny already!
