I'm the 14th and couldn't wait for this to get here quickly enough and now a week away I'm nervous!!! But excited too. I know what you mean about recognizing yourself. I hope you recognize the you that YOU have known all along.

Me too! I was waiting for my date for what seemed like a long time but now that I have it I'm very nervous!! I know it us a great decision but scary nonetheless. Good luck to you! Are you on a liquid diet? I'm not bc my surgeon doesn't require it but I'm thinking of doing a cleanse anyway.

I finally had mine on 9/25 and it went well. No problems found. Now I just need to wait for my final nutrition appointment on Wednesday for my surgery date!!!

Wow, this is something I never heard about! Just when I thought I was becoming a bit of an expert on this whole surgery process I'm realizing I still have a lot to learn! Now to go Google that H word...

My EGD is scheduled for 9/25. I will be put under sedation so I'm not worried about feeling pain or remembering anything about the actual procedure but I am nervous about what they are looking for! Can anyone tell me? I don't think I have any issues but you never know and so I'm curious if there something that could preclude me from having surgery?

I don't have my date yet but my final nutrition appointment is scheduled for October 2 and they said the dates are usually within 2 to 3 weeks from your final nutrition appointment so I think I will be toward the end of October. I was so excited the first couple months and now that it's looming in front of me I am also very nervous!! I think it's completely normal and I find myself putting my nerves aside to concentrate on the checklist of things that I know I need to do to prepare and have in order so that when the day comes I can just relax and have a countdown ready. But definitely nervous!

I had my psych eval on the 31st and passed. I was so glad to be done with that as you must be too! Congrats! My consult with the surgeon is August 30th and I'm also hoping to have surgery by the end of the year. The earliest date I can have it is October 19th... Good luck!
