  1. How long has it been since your surgery? Everyone goes through the 'stall'. I am about 24 days post op and have been in a stall since for three days so far. I prepared myself so I wouldn't get discouraged...they say your body is finally catching up to the surgery, and is adjusting...just keep hanging on...I've decided to not weigh in for a few days.
  2. WOOHOOO....congratulations and welcome to TWO-derland...your stay will be short and sweet I am sure! Absolutely claim that half a pound...I'm on day 3 (or 4) of the three week stall, so even if I lost 1/10 of a pound, I would be claiming it! Yahooo!!!! Way to go!
  3. Welcome to the group Volfan! I have you down, and you're all set! Congrats on the wonderful weight loss so far!
  4. Just a quick update to our participation numbers. We currently have 85 people who have sent me their goal for pounds lost, and we have had 60 people so far record their weight loss. That's an AWESOME 75% participation level! Those pounds being lost look reeeeeeallly good! We'll have another update on Monday, so keep those posts a'comin'. This is a GREAT group, and I agree with xmarycontraryx, you all DO rock, and 2014 is going to be an AWESOME year for us!
  5. Thanks for checking in Deez. I am continuing to pray for you.
  6. Just to clear up the confusion (because it will not allow me to edit my first post here anymore). I am open to recording whichever weight loss you want to report. Most people are doing their posts with the: HW SW CW format - then I will post your total weight lost from your highest weight. It only seems fair that we should get credit for the weight we loss pre-op too. (at least I sure want that credit...LOL) So, it's completely up to you...if you want to send me your TOTAL weight lost from your HW, I'll record that...if you want to send me your weight lost from your SW, that's completely fine as well. Sorry for the confusion...if that silly first post would let me edit it, that would clear up a lot
  7. Oh dear Deez...I am lifting you up in prayer for you. I pray that your tummy opens up and you are able to pass all of your tests and can recover in the comfort of your home. We miss you here and pray you are up and around in no time.
  8. I don't know if I mentioned this here or not, but prior to my surgery, I could drink quite a bit of Water....after my surgery, I really, really struggled (still do at times) with getting my water in. The first thing I realized was that I could no longer stomach the taste of tap water. As bizarre as that sounds, tap water (which I could drink just fine prior to surgery) had an awful taste, so I was sipping maybe an ounce or two ounces an hour, and could barely get in a 16 oz bottle in one day. Once I switched over to fresh bottled water, I could easily get in 32 ounces. That being said, I am still far away from the recommended 64 oz of water we are supposed to get, BUT I am much closer than I was before. I also have a friend who said that Smart Water is really the only water she can drink now as well...
  9. I've got your change down medicyn. Hope your hospital stay is going well, and sending my best wishes for a speedy recovery! Welcome to the losers bench!
  10. Tammy, just so I have your numbers right, is the 150 your goal weight, or how many pounds you want to lose? I'm looking for how many pounds you want to lose, so I just want to make sure I am reading your post correct. Also, if you have any weight loss to report so far, please do so...I'll get you down on the spreadsheet! Welcome to the group!
  11. This is AMAZING! I admit, I decided to be a rebel, and didn't start back up on my cholesterol medications following the surgery. I have been taking my BP medications, but have started to feel light headed these days, and realized that now my BP is pretty low, so I am discontinuing those as well (I have a doc appointment on Friday to confirm, but I don't think they will have any problem with me quitting them, since it's making me feel so lousy). This is SO great, and I am so excited for you! Congratulations!
  12. No worries Tonya...it will start back up again! I think the hospitalization had to do a lot with it as well! We're cheering you on every step of the way!
  13. This couldn't be more true! Thanks for posting it. I have lost 20 inches so far in all of the places that I measure. In fact, my bra is down to the inner most hooks...will have to buy a new one soon! Sometimes that is much better than seeing the number change on the scale!
  14. Hi Mary, The last entry I have for you is from the 29th. I just wanted to see if you had lost anymore to get to the 268.5 today. If so, let me know and I will add it to the spreadsheet - just let me know your total pounds lost! Congratulations and Happy New Year to you!
  15. Wishing this entire group a very Happy New Year...2014 is OUR year...no more broken resolutions! We are going to do it!
  16. Great stats posted everyone! I have them all recorded! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!!! 2014 is going to be the BEST year for all of us!
  17. Welcome to our awesome group. I have you down on the spreadsheet! Congratulations on your weight loss so far!!!
  18. Deez...so good to hear from you. I'm so sorry about your struggles and am praying that each day shows improvement! You'll be back cheerleading in no time!
  19. Just wondering if anyone has heard from Deez yet?
  20. Okay everyone, here are the stats for this week: Out of 77 people who gave me their goals, I have heard from 47 of them = 61% We currently have a grand total of pounds lost recorded at 9401 pounds From the 47 people who have reported their weight loss, we are currently at 1492.1 pounds lost That is 16% towards our goal! Congratulations to each and every one of you. This is a tremendous job well done!
  21. Just because I can't contain the excitement from the Pounds lost thread (and I wanted to make sure if anyone is participating that might not be subscribed to that thread that they get to see the numbers): Out of 77 people who gave me their goals, I have heard from 47 of them = 61% We currently have a grand total of pounds lost recorded at 9401 pounds From the 47 people who have reported their weight loss, we are currently at 1492.1 pounds lost That is 16% towards our goal!
  22. Praying for all of our Dec. 30 & 31 sleevers. Wishing you all a smooth and speedy recovery.
