  1. Okay, here are our numbers for the week (please note, the numbers may seem smaller than last week as I have had to remove some people due to non-participation and/or not reporting their total pounds lost goal.) There are 69 active participants included in these numbers: Total pounds wanting to be lost: 8161 Total pounds lost to date: 2957.5 We're at 36% percent of goal Awesome job everyone! Keep it up!
  2. Thanks for pointing me this way....that surgeon seems to be VERY popular, and he has a VERY busy February according to all of our profiles!
  3. No apologies necessary Nurse_B...you just posted 2 days ago I know what you mean about the exercise! I was SO happy to finally get back in the pool last weekend, and got to swim one day and then BAM got horribly sick all week long...add a weight loss stall in there, and that's enough to get a person down in the dumps! I'm finally feeling a little bit better today, and am hoping, hoping, hoping to get back in the pool tomorrow! Have a great day!
  4. HA! Guess I should post my stats for the week: HW: 280.3 SW: 257.3 CW: 226.6
  5. Last call for weigh in's for the week. Just a few housekeeping items...there have been a few people who seem to be M.I.A. (meaning they haven't posted any numbers since December. I'd like to keep the participants list to active participants, so if you haven't posted for 2 months, I will move you to the 'injured reserve' listing...this means I won't delete your entries you have so far, but will not include you in the active participants list. Also, I will be sending IM's to those of you who have not sent me your goal pounds lost. I'll post our numbers later today!
  6. Hi I think I need to do that. I started at 249 and I want to lose 120lbs making me 129lbs. Idk if that's maintainable but I'm gonna try. I was a revision band to sleeve on dec 30th. On that day I was 222lbs last weigh in I was 203. Thanks so much XXShellXX...I've got you down on the spreadsheet now. Best wishes to you on your weight loss journey!
  7. I do add Benefiber to my protein shakes as well. I'm not sure about Metamucil brand, but they do specifically state Benefiber brand (which is a different kind of fiber) in my WLS book that I received at the program.
  8. Cabstewart, I've not heard of gummy fiber chews but will certainly try them. Thanks for the info ... Andrew These are the fiber gummies I use: http://www.nnpvitamins.com/vitafusion-fiber/ You can get them at, pretty much, any store that I know of (I order mine from Amazon). I hate to admit that I love to take my fiber because they taste SOOOOOOOOO good. It's like my 'candy' (although I do only take the recommended dosage).
  9. Okay, numbers for this week (minus our new friends who haven't given me their goal pounds lost) 3081.10 pounds lost so far 9692 pounds lost goal We're at 32% of goal! "Weigh" to go everyone!
  10. Okay, I have recorded the numbers so far...but here are the people that I still need your pounds lost goals (how many pounds you want to lose) Gettingsexyback michelle68 nesa83 XXShelXX ShrinkingMelmo Please either post how many pounds you hope to lose here, or send them to me in a PM. Thanks a bazillion! Keep posting those weigh in's...I'll post our numbers later today!
  11. Ha! Silly me...I saw 'Winter' on the cover and just assumed it was this Winter... Sorry about that.
  12. I have a WLS surgery magazine I received at my last support group meeting. It's called OH I was meaning to find out how to get a subscription and forgot, so I will have to look into it again.
  13. Shrimp has been one of the best things for my sleeve...absolutely no problems...and the best part is how few calories it is for so much protein. I keep it in the house pretty much all the time now!
  14. Welcome to your new life!
  15. I am almost 8 weeks post-op and had sashimi about 5 weeks out. I just went slow and didn't overdo it and it was probably one of the best meals I have had. I am not probably going to do sushi, just because I am going to stay away from rice from now on, but sashimi is such a wonderful alternative for me.
  16. My blog: Www.sculptednew.wordpress.com
  17. They gave me one when I was being prepped as well, and took it off before I left 2 days later...it lasted through a shower as well.
  18. I have noticed a bunch of new folks that have posted their pounds lost ion the past few days. For those of you who are posting for the first time, welcome to the group. If you are new, and did not post how many pounds you want to lose in this process, please either post it here, or send it to me in a PM so I can get your numbers on the spreadsheet. I'm stalled this week...exactly the same weight as last week. I'll post our numbers tomorrow.
  19. I know it's hard when you see the scale go the wrong way...but rest assured, there is NO way that you actually gained 4 pounds...you would have had to have eaten 14,000 calories for that to happen. It can be so many things....water retention, sodium, muscle gain, etc. I had to finally put the scale away because I was eating 600-700 calories, and gaining 1-2 pounds...it's not real weight gain, so the scale is now hidden and I can only weigh once a week. As my husband tells me ALL the time...I have to look at the entire forest, not just the trees. It'll come off!
  20. Thanks everyone for posting your amazing weigh in numbers. You are all doing such a FANTASTIC job. Here are this week's results: We have 78 participants (although some have not posted weigh in numbers recently) for a total of 9542 pounds to be lost. As of this week we are at: 2991.3 pounds lost! (HOORAY!!!) We are at 31% of our goal! Congratulations everyone! Keep those awesome numbers coming in.
  21. Final call for this week's numbers. Please post as soon as possible, and I will get the weekly total out here a little bit later! Loving the pounds just melting away for everyone!
  22. Okay folks, here are our numbers for the week: Total pounds to be lost: 9542 Total pounds lost so far: 2825.8 We're at 29.6% of our goal. Currently we have 78 people participating (although some of them have not updated their numbers since late December). Excellent job everyone! Congratulations to you all...we're almost a third of the way there!
  23. Happy Monday everyone! The weekly numbers will be a little late this week. I will be posting them tomorrow for a few reasons: We have some new folks who have joined the thread this past week (WELCOME)!!!!! If you are new and haven't done so, please either post here or send me a private message how many pounds you want to lose during this journey. Also, I have the day off today and am going to be road tripping to explore some new locations in the morning, and then am having lunch with my sleeve buddy and going to a WLS support group tonight. If I am back at a reasonable time I will try and get the numbers posted, but the support group is about an hour drive away, so I'm not sure what time we'll be back. Keep those numbers coming...you are all doing a fantastic job!!!
