  1. Sounds pretty near your date. I know my doctor had to provide them a date as well to approve the hospital stay, etc. sounds like you are getting close!!!
  2. Welcome Tammie! This is a great thread (some of us are still finding our way back here after the transition) an d if you are in. FB, there is a secret group a lot of us are a part of...the link is around here on one of the pages!
  3. Welcome VLBrand...we're glad you are here!
  4. I think the warning points are only visible to you. You see yours and no one else's.
  5. 1. To be healthy 2. To get off BP meds and cholesterol meds 3. To be around for my nieces and nephews 4. To be able to shop in 'normal' sized clothes 5. To be able to exercise without wondering if I should have an oxygen tank with me at all times
  6. Glad to see people making their way back!
  7. Also, I tried several times to use the 'click here for tech support' link (again, through my iPad), would spend some time writing my detailed description, tap send and it would tell me I need to complete the detailed section...then I tried the contact us and that email was returned undeliverable. Just about cried when I saw this thread....
  8. The December 2013 Vertical Sleeve monthly support group is a perfect example. Shows 40 pages, I can get to page 30, and then I start getting the error message. I have posted twice on that thread (from the web page) and they show up on the web page but not on the iPad app. All of these errors have definitely been happening for me on the iPad app... There was another thread in the December 2013 grouping as well that showed 3 pages of responses, I can get to the bottom of page 2 and then get the error message. (I think it is the random thoughts thread)
  9. Alrighty....here we are...can't wait to see everyone again!!!
  10. I think we are sort of back...I can't seem to get all of the pages to load....
  11. Will we still have the iPad app that I currently use for VST?
  12. Hi Sleeve Family....(because after all, we are one big family now!) I just wanted to touch base with everyone and say hello! I keep being more and more amazed at how many sleevers we have for December, and love the interaction, support, and encouragment I see here with the December sleevers. Atlanta you are doing an amazing job keeping the list up to date! It's quite a job with so many sleevers getting their dates, and you have been fantastic! I'm working really hard to start 'following the rules' that I will live by post-op - separating liquids from meals, chewing until applesauce consistency, etc...as well as I am starting to incorporate more 'pre-op liquid diet' items into my daily routine. I officially start my liquid diet on December 4, so I thought that it would be a good idea to find out what kind of crystal light I will drink (I don't like flavored water, so i thought it best I start early on that). I tried Grape today and I can tolerate it probably better than other flavors. Anyway...I just wanted to say hello, welcome all of the new December sleevers who have joined the family and look forward to reading all about your journies! Best wishes to all of you!
  13. Woohoo! Another 11th! Atlanta...we might run out of room for the 11th on you fabulous list! Lol Welcome kadeetaylor...we're glad you're here...a bunch of us are in the double top secret Facebook group as well if you are interested. There are several postings about how to get added!
  14. My surgery is on a Wednesday. I will take the rest of that week and the full next week off.
  15. Tried to send a message, but just sent a friend request.
  16. Thank you so much AtlantaRed for doing such a great job on the December list! It's so neat to see the list grow and grow!
  17. I was also told December was popular because everyone is trying to get in before the new year = new deductible/out of pocket. I would never be able to afford it if I had to wait until January.
  18. Welcome liciamarie...I also am 12/11. It's a very popular date! Best wishes to you!
  19. Just had a call today from my 'nurse case manager' from the insurance company. Spent about 40 minutes on the phone with her...she was very nice, and informative. I think there was a question before about getting a flu shot, and she did recommend that I get my flu shot and pneumonia shot prior to surgery. I'll make sure to get that done when I am at my pre-op appointment!
