    Discouraged :(

I weigh and measure myself every Monday. I record my losses in a notebook that is my food log as well. I am 9 weeks out and have had 2 weeks, one at 4 weeks and one at 8 weeks that I lost nothing, but don't get discouraged because the next weeks I lost 5 or 6 and it made up for the week that I didn't lose. I have lost 45 lbs so far and am ecstatic about my progress. I struggle with getting enough fluids and am getting much better with my protein, it is a learning process. I am the happiest I have ever been and am SO glad I made this choice, feeling amazing! Good luck, don't psyche yourself out with the scale

    Incisional pain?

I had the same issue and was very scared about the same things. I called my bariatric doctor and he said that it was the one stitch that is internal was dissolving, so my stomach was moving a bit and this caused pain. I also did too much and would pay for it with the pain inside (like a pulled muscle). I was very cautious and called my doctor a lot, just because I needed that reassurance! Call your doctor and just tell them your symptoms and they will be able to answer all of your questions, but I am guessing that you are experiencing the same thing that I did. Good luck!

I hate this before picture, but obviously had to start somewhere! This is one month later, 29 lbs and 27.5 inches. If this is the difference from 29 lbs lost, I can't wait to see the final end results! Having this surgery is the best decision I have ever made!

Almost 4 wks out, new pain

I am doing much better, used Miralax and pain is going away. Didn't realize I was that constipated, honestly have never been constipated before...So glad to be in less pain! Thank you all for your advice and suggestions, I really appreciate it!

Almost 4 wks out, new pain

Ok, my doctor had said that gummies were fine, each doctor is so different. I called my doctor and he thinks it sounds like a pulled muscle, since I have no other symptoms and it is only moderate pain. Only hurts when I'm standing or I twist, laying down and sitting isn't bothersome and I can lay on my back and press on the area and it doesn't hurt, only hurts when I stand. I was just concerned about the leaks, just get paranoid so easily when the pain comes. He said to take it easy and call if it gets worse. thank you all for the advice

Did your pain go away? I don't want to be so anxious about a leak, but scared to death. It is not excruciating pain by any means, but it is different and scaring me...

Almost 4 wks out, new pain

I have the same pain today. Started last night, I am 3 weeks out, had the pain from the stitch already. I have been walking at night, 2 miles a night, but that has not bothered me. I did eat watermelon last night, so kind of scared that maybe that caused this or the relations with my husband I am very worried. I am not having regular bowel movements at all, either. Like every 5 to 6 days maybe...I am taking fiber gummy chews with no help, took Colace this morning and am drinking benefiber in my drink today. Any advice would be appreciated. I felt fantastic this whole week until 11pm last night...

    July sleevers!

I understand about feeling isolated at times. My husband doesn't mind eating in front of me, he is a stick and can eat anything he wants and not gain a pound (butthead), so I am lucky there. My mom didn't want to eat in front of me and no matter how much I told her that it was ok, she still said she felt bad. It honestly didn't bother me. I have been dealing with people not understanding the limitations of my physical ability, right now. I was sleeved on July 2nd (forgot that in the beginning). I am pretty OCD about my house being clean and was lucky to be able to be on disability leave for a month, but I have been doing more than I should and I feel like it is expected at this point. My husband has been good about telling me to take breaks and rest, thank goodness. I have been very vocal about my surgery on my FB page. I feel like a lot of people I know have hidden that they had the surgery because of the stigma of it being "the easy way out". I feel like I can educate people on the fact that it is SO NOT the easy way out and about the entire life change we have to make. It has helped my confidence and I have so much support. I figure that if they have a negative opinion they should keep it to themselves, as this is a personal choice and in my case, there were many health problems I had that are gone after the surgery. I feel blessed to have this opportunity. Most people in my family don't understand this, but I luckily have a sister that had the surgery in March and has lost over 70 pounds. It is nice to have her to talk to and I have several other friends that have had the surgery also and being able to discuss all the things about post op, is really nice. I love this site, I have found many answers here and am grateful for that! I was down 18 pounds at my post op apt and don't have a scale right now (ordered a digital one) but I am keeping track in inches as well. I have lost 11 inches overall since the post op visit and that is a great feeling!
