I was banded June 26,2007 and I have lost 20 lbs since surgery. I feel very restricted and have not made an appointment to get a fill yet. I exercise 30-40 mins. everyday. Hang in there you are doing fine.

Hi I have BC/BS of MA PPO. It was so easy from my first visit till my surgery was 10 days. They required no pre cert or pre authorization. Congrats. I was banded on 26th. I am not hungry and I feel great. I have lost 8lbs and actually made it through a weekend at the lake and didn't feel deprived that I wasn't eating and everybody else was.

Hi everyone. I was banded last Tues 26th June. I went home that day and went to the lake this weekend. It was different not eating but I took yogurt smoothies and I was not hungry at all. I am only managing to take i about 500 calories a day so I know I need to pick that up some. Anyway feeling great just still swollen alittle but most of my steristrips are off and everything looks great. Donna:clap2:

I was banded on June 26th, I can burp but I hurts I also find if I get up and move it really helps. But I have lost 8lbs in 5 days YEAH!!!

Hi everyone, I was banded yesterday feeling really good. Sore at port site. I had no nausea or vomiting. I am not hungry. Got up and took a walk last night and going to again today...The journey has begun...:clap2:

Hi I had my band on yesterday. I feel great except alttle sore at port incision site. I had a BMI of 36.5. My insrance approved it in 4 days and had my surgery 10 days from my first consult. P.S. I didn't vomit, Iwasn't nauseated and very little shoulder pain but gone now.

Hi Vicki I am new and will have surgery on Tuesday. I live in Ky but I am going to Cincinnati to have my surgery.

I have BC/BS Ma and they are great. It is only going to cost me $250 out of pocket.. I am excited but I start 4 shakes daily for the next 5 days.. That is going to be hard.. I can do it because I want this to be my last fat summer. Donna

I just found out at 4:00 that my insurance is not requiring any medical authorization so I am free to have my surgery and they want to do it Tues.. Excited but nervous.:omg:

I have BcBs Ma and I just found out last night that my plan does not require any medical authorization or pre cert. I just have to meet the medical criteria and I am good to go. So I called my surgeons office this morning and they are scheduling me for Friday probably... I am so excited I thought it would take a couple of months.. I was at the doc's office on Monday and maybe surgery on Fri. Hope that helps:clap2:
