  1. I have a question for my fellow teachers. Looks like my surgery won't be till January. How many days did you guys miss work after surgery? Im trying to figure it out now so I can tell my boss when we go back to work. I teach preschool in NYC.
  2. Thank you everyone. I guess I don't have a choice but to wait.
  3. I know many have said about this 6 month requirement of the insurance but I'm upset! I really want this surgery ASAP. I don't want be suffering from diabetes and obesity anymore. How will I get through the six months. ** encouraging words needed
  4. Hello All! I'm 31 years old and just embarking in the journey. No surgery date yet but really nervous and excited about everything. I'm diabetic and I'm looking forward to reversing the disease soon! What pushed me to this point is my grandmother recently was diagnosed with renal failure (due to diabetes!) and they gave her a few years to live. i don't want that to ever happen to me. my doctor is part of the NYU weight loss center. Anyone else have surgery there? I have another appt on Wednesday and maybe we will pick a surgery date then (yay)! I need some help making a list of questions to ask.......what do you guys suggest? Thank you in advance!
