Parathyroid tumor.
Thanks everyone. I just received a call from my doctors office. They called the bariatric hospital that I will be going to and if I do have a tumor I have to get it removed first. They wanted to set me up with a specialist right away but I told them I would like to wait until after my blood work next week. I'd Like to make sure my Calcium is still high before they start sending me places. So now I feel like I've been doing my 6 months of managed weight loss with my doctor for no reason. I've never made it this far but looks like I won't be having surgery until next year.

Parathyroid tumor.
These tests are not fun at all I wish them on no one. My doctor wanted to send me to another specialist and I told him no since the first one didn't tell me anything but decided to tell me he was the weight loss surgeon at that hospital. That's great but not what I was there for. Also my labs are almost 2 years old so I decided to call and set up some blood work. Hoping my calcium levels have gone down. If not I still want to have the wls first that way they might be able to get better pictures when I've lost most of the weight. Time will soon tell.

Parathyroid tumor.
I (may have) a parathyroid tumor and I may not. My test was inconclusive. Has anyone had a tumor and had wls first before having the tumor removed?

Anyone Goshen Hospital, Goshen IN?
My insurance requires 6 months of visits with my doctor before I can be approved. My surgeon will be Dr. Dale Sloan. I know he requires 6 weeks of classes before and after surgery but I don't think 6 months of anything.

I live in Elkhart! However my insurance doesn't cover Goshen so I have to go to Ft Wayne. Small price to pay for my life back. I've been to 2 seminars at Goshen though. They seem very nice and know what they are doing. Good luck!

Thank you!- Just a question.
Congratulations! I'll hopefully be sleeved in November. I'll be 27 next week. Maybe it won't take me that long but it's different for everyone. Thank you.- Just a question.
Thank you! I just started back at my job almost a year ago so I'll only have a week vacation. Hoping that's all I'll need. My bosses are very nice though so I'm sure taking an extra week wouldn't be a problem, just the no paycheck would be the issue.- Just a question.
I have not had my surgery yet but I was wondering if you guys could give me some insight. How long was it before you went back to work after the sleeve surgery? I work in an office where I'm sitting most of the day. Just trying to get an estimate of the time I'll need to take off. Thank you in advance!- Dr Sale Sloan
Has anyone had surgery with Dr. Sloan or at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, In? Just curious because he will be my surgeon once I am approved for surgery.- Weight loss management to surgery
I'm new here and I'm still working on the weight loss management with my doctor. I still have 3 months to go! Its very hard when you have no support. I'm only 26 but severely overweight. How did you guys make it through? Any support will help, thank you! - Just a question.
