February/March 2014 sleevers
I met with my surgeon yesterday, and met with the NUT today as well as the fitness trainer. I don't have a date yet, but need to see the Phyc, then they can submit paperwork to the Insurance. which should take 30 days to come back. I also have my upper endoscopy on 2-6 and support group on 1-28. Also still waiting on appt's to be scheduled for the sleep study and hemotologist. Hopefully if all works out, I should have the sleeve done at the end of February or early March.

First appt with the surgeon Wednesday
I am so excited. I was able to set the appointment to see the surgeon today. I feel like i am finally getting started. Have been researching this for over a year and have done 7 months of medical diet plan already. My appt is Wednesday with Dr Gersin in Charlotte NC. So ready to get this thing started. Any advise out there?

Very embarrassed but question about Urinary incontinence
Thank you everyone for being so nice and your suggestions. I am still pre op and have not had children, but am in mid 40's, and have been overweight my ENTIRE life. I do drink Diet Pepsi (have cut down so far from 3-4 a day to 1/2 -1 a day), and since I will need to cut it completely out anyway for the VSG, i will start with that and will try yoga. I hope those work, I am hoping to have my VSG surgery in Feb or march, will get to make the appt to talk to a surgeon on 1-2-14 to find out what else I will need to do. have already completed 7 months of medical diet so hopefully it wont be much longer. Thank ya'll again. This website/group is so inspirational, I have learned so much from everyone here.

Very embarrassed but question about Urinary incontinence
I am a newbie, and am very embarrassed about this, but occasionally, when I sneeze real hard or after the 4th or 5th sneeze in a row, or laugh a real hard gut laugh, i may (not always) experience urinary incontinence (TMI, I know:( can anyone tell me, if after weight loss, does this get better? or not effect it at all?

Skin Tag Removal
for an alternative approach to this... i had a skin tag that i had removed at the dr's office, but it came back. I then learned that Apple cider vinegar is a wonderful thing. I put a little on a cotton ball and put it on the skin tag at night and covered it with a band aid. after 4 or 5 nights of this, the tag fell off and it has been gone now over a year. the area did get a little red, but after a few days the redness went away. Now you cannot tell it was there. It was on my neck, so it was very noticeable. I also researched this online as well, there are so many things it can do, its amazing. the only thing I suggest is have a different bottle of apple cider vinegar for this purpose. and of course no double dipping.

Changing Insurance
Yes, I did ask my hr that as well. at any open enrollment period, which is very March, I can re-enroll again. I think I have covered all my bases with his insurance. We are going for it. It's not in effect until January 1st, So that is what I am looking forward to. That is when I will really begin my journey hopefully.

Changing Insurance
I am looking for some advice or guidance. I currently have insurance through my employer, but they have fully excluded any and all WLS. My husbands employer on the other hand covers WLS. His open enrollment is now and I checked the exclusions and pre existing conditions clauses and I pass both of those obstacles. I even called his insurance provider and verified the surgeons I have chosen (but have not had any appt's with yet) are in network. I want to make sure I have checked everything. Is there anything else I should check before I move forward with changing to his insurance. It costs so much more money than mine, but would be soooooo worth it.
