  1. Hi All!! I'm 3 weeks post op yesterday and really don't appreciate this little bit of food I can eat No one ever told me that I would never be able to eat a "meal" again. I want to be able to drink after each mouthful of food, ****, I want a mouthful of food! I have lost 15 lbs since surgery which I am happy about, but I really think that if I knew that I will NEVER be able to eat more than 1 cup of food in 1 sitting idk if I would have had surgery. Hope soon I feel different, but for now I'm really not too happy. Oh well, what's done is done, and I am happy that soon I will not be fat, but then it's the skin I have to worry about. This is depressing..... sorry to be a downer, just not too happy........................
  2. I just had sex yesterday for the first time since surg. was 2 1/2 weeks n there were no problems!!

  4. I am 2 weeks out and am able to eat chicken, tuna, eggs, yogurt, fruit, pretty much anything. I had a bite of a burger today too.
  5. I'm guilty too. Always too fast. How far out are you? I'm 16 days
  6. Have you tried to take the vitamins before you eat, therefore you would have taken them before you get food. Maybe eat a little less when taking the vitamins. I'll be 3 weeks out on Wednesday I only drink 1 ptorein shake a day too, but eat protein in my food.

  9. Hello! Only my hubby and 1 close friend knows. I told them I went in the hospital because I had ulcer surgery. It was a great cover-up! I didn't want to be judged or asked a bunch of questions by anyone. Best of luck to you!
  10. Hi All!!! Today is day 14 post surgery and I am feeling great!! I went for my after surgery check-up yesterday, and everything is going just than planned. My doctor is such a nice, cool guy and I really appreciate him being honest and open about this journey. And thanks to my nutritionist's strict guideline (again, I thank my doctor for being real w/me) I am going to, from this day forward get my protein drinks in though I do not enjoy drinking them. Not to get off topic, but I am drinking a very tasty protein shake, it's CORE POWER strawberry banana, 20g. protein, and I buy them at shoprite. Anyway, I decided today that, though my doctor told me my stomach is fine to take in foods, I will drink at least 1 protein shake in the morning and another throughout and keep up with my vitamins. I think when I eat first I kinda screw up the room in my belly for the rest of the day, therefore it feels uncomfortable to consume the protein shakes. I went shopping for some shorts and am down 2 sizes and I went from a sz xxl to m-l in shirts, I even bought a size small lol, not sure if it will fit, but it looked like it!! Btw, first weigh in, 207, 200 day of surgery, and 185 yesterday. I feel great, hope you all do too!!!
  11. I'm just letting you know as my doctor said- I'm ok to eat foods like eggs, tuna, flakey white fish, yogurt, cheeses exc. And, might I say, I am so ok with this!!
  12. LoL my friends and family think I had an ulcer, didn't want to be judged!! Just a white lie, not hurting anyone!! and, I am happy!! Good luck with the water and if it gets tough to drink, add a little lemon, works great!! Best of luck on your journey!!!
  13. Oh,and he said I can eat crackers!!! with cheese for the protein though lol!! oh coarse he didn't offer, I asked, but he said it was fine as long as my belly could handle them.
  14. Hello, I am 13 days out and just came from my after surgery check-up. I've been eating small amounts of chicken, tuna, greek yogurt and mashed potatoes since day 9... I told my doctor and he wasn't at all mad, he actually told me that it was fine as long as it wasn't causing pain or nausea. Good Luck!!
