Hello all. Just visited with my Dr. 5 years post sleeve start weight 239 current weight 200. I lost 69 pounds max got down to 170. Now here I am. I have a hiatal hernia from my first sleeve and the worst acid reflux. Dr tells me I should have had the bypass from the start. The only way to fix things is to do the bypass. I workout 4 x a week and still diet with no results other than feeling healthy and young but still overweight. I've gotten to where I don't even care about the weight loss from the surgery anymore just want to be healthy and keep doing what I'm doing. Has anyone else experienced this and has the surgery and what were your results?

I had the sleeve March 2014. Never reached goal weight. From 247lbs to 176lbs and now 190. My surgery Dr has referred me to a diet Dr to see if they can help me lose more weight. Mind you I excersise 4 x a week and very active but I don't want to hear its muscle weight. Anyway now I have an esophageal hernia. Has anyone else gone through this? And did you have the repair? That's awesome. I was quoted about that much just for a tuck and breast augmentation in San Antonio.

Can I ask if the plastic surgery was expensive there? After weight loss I need a tummy tuck that my insurance will not pay for.

Would love some support. 2 year anniversary in May. I feel I haven't lost enough weight and feel kinda disappointed in my self. I eat too many sweets and can't resist them. Starting weight was 239 weight 180 now. Wish it was more. Stalled for almost a year now. I have friends that reached their goal weight within months and 1 of them can even eat a whole breakfast taco at 3 months, I couldn't do that for almost 1 and a half years. I wish I knew what to do.

Jody48 Good luck hope all goes well. I did not use Dr Patel. I used Dr Peterson at Christus Santa Rosa. He was awesome. I'm sure you will do good. I just wish I could lose 35 more pounds.
