  1. Not a fan at all of soy or rice milk... guess most of it is in my head! I only have about 4 days to go until mushies and please tell me that it will get better? I went to a Juice Bar and they made me up a yummy fruit drink... i just have to keep patient until i get to mushies....it will all pay off in the end:cry
  2. Yeah i am 9 days post op... whats the pudding that everyone talks about?
  3. I was just wondering if anyone has the same problem i do and if so how the went on the liquid stage... my problem is i dont like much in the way of dairy products! I cant drink a glass of milk or milk drinks at all... except a cup of tea.. the taste makes me wanna throw up, yoghurt... well i can only handle one tub every now and again, cheese... well i love cheese but that doesnt help when i am on the liquid stage. Starting to feel quiet hungry and most ppl say have a shake, well i cant... so what can i do??:help:
  4. Hey all i am really concerned i have just had a big drink of water and now i have the hiccups.... they dont hurt but i am worried that tey could make my band slip... anyone know about this? Cheers
  5. I have to agree with that.... i was told that i can have anything as long as it can be sucked up through a straw... starting to make me worry abit that there is so many different post op diets out there!
  6. Thanks heaps everyone its just what i needed to know!! I will be stayin on liquids for as long as it takes now! Just one little question.... why are ppl in the states on clear liquids? I was told that i could have anything that could be sucked up through a straw after surgery?

  8. Hi all i am only new to this site and hope that i am in the correct area! First up i would like to know if anyone has slipped up or cheated during the liquid stage post banding? I am only on day 5 and already wanting to chew something.... I have heard eating anything in this stage will strech my pouch.... but i am not sure what that means? Anyone got any advice on this? Cheers
  9. I also had trouble with optifast diet because i hated the shakes... so i lived off the bars (berry crunch is quiet good) soup and cup of green veges at night... there is also a mousse you can get but look it all up on the optifast web site its a great help
  10. yep the optifast is crap but i have seen great results... i can only have the berry crunch bars and soup the rest is horrible.... btw my surgery is 25th june not july.... can you tell i am blonde??? lol

Wow how exciting.... a little about myself, i am divorced with 2 kids and a beautiful supportive partner! Live in country vic and work part-time in Oncology (cancer patients) at our local hospital.</p> <p>Now to the interesting part.... sorry for all americans as i cant convert the figures but i am 174cms tall and weigh.... are you ready for this??? 147kgs <img src="http://www.LapBandTalk.com/images/smilies/eek.gif" border="0" alt="" title="EEK!" smilieid="10" class="inlineimg" /> as of today.... 150kgs 2 weeks ago!! </p> <p>Look forward to meeting new ppl and hearing about everyones experiences!</p> <p>Take Care</p>
