  9. My case manager and nut said they will give me all that info when I have my appt. on July 22nd. I was just wondering is pre-op liquid diet is where you loose all the weight
  10. I am scheduled in Aug. I have not started my liquid diet yet. I have only lost three pounds as of now. Everyone talks of the pre-op surgery weight loss. Should I be concerned that I have not lost more weight?
  11. I have a similar issue. My overweight sister thinks I am nuts! She keeps telling me that I will throw up all the time and have tons and tons of saggy skin. My BFF tells me that it is too dangerous and I should join curves again. Yet I have a torn up knee. I am due to have my surgery Aug. 10 and have just told people. My mother is 65, has been overweight my entire life. She has diabetes, had a heart attack, and is immobile. At 35 I am morbidly obese, however, I have no health issues as if now so I decided to take action. I was very hurt by my family and bff's reaction, but I think at times, misery likes company. My eldest sister said great, now I won't be the skinny sister anymore. I am planning on keeping the surgery to myself since I was not prepared for such negative comments. Just know you are doing it for yourself and that is what matters!
  12. I was so worried too, but it was a piece of cake. I had the stuff that Michael Jackson got addicted to and had one of the best sleeps ever. I couldn't believe it when the dr came in to talk about what she saw, I was like wait when did you do this. Only issue is I have a bleeding ulcer so I have to have that clear up prior to my sleeve. I too went for lunch after the test
  13. I am new to this whole thing.... I am getting sleeved in August and like you have 150 plus to loose. I only hope I am as successful as you are! 82 lbs in 10 months is simply amazing! I don't know why we are our own worse enemies but I got to tell you I think you are doing awesome and you inspire me!
  14. I had a similar experience in Hershey Park. I was too big to ride the roller coaster with my niece. I am so sorry. I am having mine around Aug. 15. Best of luck to you
  15. Anyone have their sleeve done @ Lawrence Hospital Bronxville NY?
  16. I am set for August and I have been driving myself nuts. I keep thinking well maybe I should try Weight Watchers again or give Atkins another try... Because I am sure the 101 time it will work... Just keep reading others results! It keeps me going...
  17. Thank you. I just downloaded the bok,
  18. Thanks everyone. I greatly appreciate all the advice
  19. Thanks everyone! Yeah I can't take more time off as I am a teacher, can just hear my boss. You had a whole summer! My insurance requires a certain amount of time so that us the earliest! Good to know I may have a beer once in awhile and it sounds like it will be cheaper to get a buzz!????
  20. I am scheduled Aug. 12 th. I only have two weeks off. Will I be able to go back to work after 2 weeks? I have been reading about all this exercising .. Amen to those that do it but I can only manage 30 min on stationary bike 4x a week. Is that enough to loose. I live alone, should I hire some help? Finally is it true no beer forever? Thanks any help would be appreciated.
  21. August 10. So nervous but excited too. So glad I found this site. My family thinks I am nuts to be doing this ...
