  1. My Doctor has been great. I am so thankful for his help and support during this whole thing.
  2. I tried some from Walmart too. My favorite is the watermelon flavor.
  3. I agree with you there. I keep Zantac on the side for more immediate relief.
  4. When the Doctor's office submits the paperwork for the procedures they use a specific code for that particular procedure.
  5. My Dr. put me on Prilosec (omeprazole) after surgery.
  6. Just a quick note. My "boy friend",(a word that I feel uncomfortable with as a 50 year old adult woman), actually were facebook friends from the same home town. I had moved to South East Oklahoma ten years ago and then he moved here six years ago and we never really met until I asked him if he'd like to get together for lunch after work one Saturday afternoon last February. Take chances, life is just too short to wonder what if. I am so happy that I have him in my life.
  7. I was dating someone months prior to my surgery. He has been wonderfully supportive and told me he will still love me even if I end up looking like a deflated balloon. I am keeping him.
  8. I wasn't offended. I used to work on the surgery ward and I saw those things up close and personal every day. I had one after my surgery and it felt sooo good to get that thing out.
  9. I have always read that getting enough protein and vitamins can help prevent hair loss. I haven't had any hair loss yet so I don't know if there is anything too it yet. I know that biotin is really good for hair and nails though.
  10. I bought American bottled water to drink and brush my teeth with. I just wasn't going to take the chance. I passed on the ice chips too since I was paranoid about it too. I have a friend that went on a mission trip to Mexico and picked up amoebic dysentery and got powerful sick, I sure didn't want something like that.
  11. I didn't want to tell anyone just because I didn't want to hear the flack. Bad enough I told my closest family members. My daughter flipped smooth out going on about the organ thieves and the abductions that could happen. I would have been better off keeping it from her especially.
  12. One month down. Sometimes I ask myself what took me so long.
  13. I will say that parts of me where I have arthritis settled into old injuries, like where I broke my collar bone, will still ache when damp weather is coming in. I don't think that will ever change.
  14. I am glad you are doing well and I am wishing you a speedy recovery.
  15. I am sincerely sorry that you had a bad experience and I hope that your circumstances with your ongoing complications improve and your health is restored.
  16. I am sorry that anyone has a bad experience anywhere whether here in the States or in Mexico. It's always good to have your PCP back home to cover you when you return home.
  17. I also gave a complete list of current medications I was taking and any known allergies.
  18. While I was at Jerusalem hospital I looked at each IV bottle and read what was in it. I looked at each additional bag of antibiotic that was hung and each one had my name on it and what was in it. Any time a nurse came into my room with a syringe I asked what it was and I looked at it and it always had my name on it and the medication on it.
  19. I had that happen too over the week end and I think it was due to lifting something too heavy like my three year old grandson. I felt like I pulled an abdominal muscle.
  20. I also hate eating. I eat a child sized portion and I still end up filling up too quickly.
  21. I traveled to Tijuana alone to have my surgery. At the clinic there is a line that you can call the states and receive calls from also.
  22. I also researched weight loss surgery over a long period of time. I entreated the insurance company and wrote letters. I finally turned to going to Mexico and paying for it myself. I researched this route for over three years. I am glad that I did it and I only wish I had done it a whole lot sooner.
  23. I hope everything goes well and I am wishing you a speedy recovery.
