Hi Lexiemustang! I have just started the process and currently taking the nutrition classes. I anticipate my surgery to be late summer. When is your surgery?

Blue Sky I am just starting the process and will be using Dr Kim's partner Dr Holden. Was your surgery at Baylor in Trophy Club? Anything you can share about the process would be awesome!

I had my consultation today with Dr. Holden. I was impressed with her. Looking for opinions on her and Baylor Medical Center in Trophy Club.

For those of you that had DrKim perform your surgery, did you have drains put in? If so how long did you have them?

I will be having Dr Holden. Dr Kim's associate, do my surgery at Baylor Trophy Club sometime this fall. I'm very impressed with the whole office. Looking forward to my new journey to health.

So over a period of a week you only have to drink a total of 4 shakes??? The rest of the time you consume broth, jello, water, etc???

Another question popped into my head ..... The pre op diet ... Is it solely just the Protein shakes you buy from their office???

For those of you that had your surgery at Baylor Trophy Club and more specifically by Dr Holden, how soon did they allow you to have ice chips and get you up to walk? As far as pain control were you on morphing pump or did you have to request pain medicine? Do they send you home with a script for pain medicine or do you really not need it once you leave the hospital? I currently take quite a few medicines each day and wondering how that works since you are only on liquids afterwards. Any light you can share would be appreciated.

Finally someone who has been down the same road I'm traveling. I am blessed with a husband who is very caring. but still he hasn't walked in my shoes. I do not have a surgery date as of yet. I'm still jumping through all the hoops that insurance requires. I'm praying it will be early Fall when I have it. Would you mind sharing your personal journey with me? Having inspirations would be awesome!

Since all of this is new to me, what exactly does a leak test entail?

What exactly does the Bariatric University classes consist of?? Is it different from the BEND classes that insurance requires?? I will be attending my 2nd of 3 BEND class later this month.
