  1. Yes i think things have stalled, out are they just heating up and noone wants to share the juicy details anymore?
  2. Surgery was 8/28. Down 17 pounds so far. Having awful time with nausea and heartburn can't eat or drink anything with a water base needs to be milk so only creamy soups puddings and yogurts
  3. Thank you for posting this. I don't know why i didn't figure it out earlier but i am miserable today and tonight. I can't get out of my own way, i have been an emotional wreck.
  4. Its going. My only major issue at the moment is my heartburn. Starts to really bother me late afternoon and then just gets worse. Have seen every hour on the clock because i wake up with a choking feeling and cough and usually end up throwing up at least once a night. But don't let that bother you otherwise i feel great. Went for followup today and down around 15 pounds in just under a week. Water is harder than milk but that is because of the gerd always have had a hard time with water. But i figure if i am on a liquid diet then everything i take in should could towards my water intake for the day so that's my story for this evening
  5. Honestly depends on the moment. Every day definitely gets easier. I do get tired quickly but i did before surgery also because of the weight so that is no surprise. Go to the surgeon this afternoon for my one week post OP followup
  6. I am from the south shore. Sleeved 8/28/13

This may contain way to much but i need to know. I had an endometrial ablation about 16 months ago and have had no bleeding since. Within the last three months there had been some pain and talk if needing a hysterectomy due to enlarged fallopian tube because i had previously had my tubes clipped (tied). So after speaking with my surgeon we went ahead with the vsg before the hysterectomy for two reasons, 1 being that my gyn told me he would not do my surgery due to my weight and 2 because i still had not heard anything about a date or even a Dr to do it. So last Wednesday August 28 i had my vsg done. Once they took my catheter out there was a little blood but i thought it was from catheter. Well in the five days since surgery it has gradually gotten worse to the point that today i can no longer call it spotting. Has anyone else had anything even remotely similar?
  9. I never thought to ask why i had a drain but i got the impression that Streeter does it with all his vsg patients. My roommate was a rny by Streeter and she did not have a drain
  10. Hi the rooms at Tobey are not private there are two people to a room. I was sleeved Wednesday August 28 by Streeter. did wake with both a drain and a catheter. They weren't that bad, just annoying.
  11. Honey this just made my day. I am sorry you went through this. I know i will be having the same problem as i occasionally suffer constipation now. It was your description that made me giggle
  12. I will be sleeved this week by Dr Streeter.
  13. Talked to the office this morning and it's a go for Wednesday. Starting to feel nervous
  14. I do have children. My 16 year old doesn't want me to have the surgery at all. She doesn't understand why i am doing it. Then i have two boys ages 8 and 6. I haven't told them much yet as things are suddenly way up in the air. My surgeon wants me to change my date and have a different surgery that i may need done first. Waiting to have another test done next week then the decision will be made on when to get the vsg
  15. I am a Tobey sleever, sorry just found this post.
