  1. I have that exact seat from walmart, it is much better than a normal seat but takes a bit of getting used to. But there's us no pressure in your crotch with that seat, which is great!
  2. I am feeling much better now. I have had water, tea and broth. For some reason the cold settles better for me than the warm.
  3. I had my surgery on Tuesday morning. And I am having some serious trouble getting any liquid in and keeping it down. Since surgery I have had about 10 spoonfuls of ice, 1 spoonful of lemonade, 2 spoonfuls of chicken broth and some tea. I tried for a Popsicle and it came right back up. I have no desire to take anything in at all. Suggestions?
  4. I am so relieved after reading all of the responses!! My surgery is at 9am, I will be leaving for the hospital in about an hour. Thank you guys for the support!!!
  5. I am having my surgery tomorrow and was on full liquids today and all I can think about is food. It's like I am obsessing over the fact that I won't be able to eat for x amount of days and I am terrified that I will still have this fixation on food even after the surgery. (I will be seeing a counselor to get to the bottom of my dependency on food) I guess I am looking for someone to tell me it will all be okay. I am scared and nervous about tomorrow.
  6. My surgery is tomorrow!!! Can't believe it's time already.
  7. I just have to have clear liquids the day before surgery, then of course nothing after midnight. My surgery is tomorrow morning so today is my liquid day. I'm kind of nervous! In bold letters on my I formation packet it says if you do not have only clear liquids your surgery will be canceled, that really helps me not stray!
  8. I was asked once I guess. While working at a day are center a 5 yr old and her mother came in. The little girl walked up to me and touched my stomach and says to her mom "she has a big belly mom" and the mom replies "that's because there is a baby in there, how far along are you?". I honestly just stood there, all I could get out was I'm 17! I thought if she heard my age she would know I wasn't pregnant. (These days being 17 doesn't mean much when it comes to how likely it is that you're pregnant or not) I have had kids several times come up to me and ask me why I had a big belly or why my belly was fat- that's just as awkward.
  9. I started trying shakes before I have my surgery and after 6 or 7 that made me gag, I finally found one that is decent. (And reasonable priced!!) it is the premier protein shakes that are chocolate. I got mine at Sams but I think I read that they were at Costco also. good luck!!
  10. I am in Louisiana too!! I can't wait to wear cute jean shorts and tank tops and feel totally comfortable and normal in them. I am always worried about pulling one thing up or another thing down.
  11. Although it isn't nice that anyone has to feel those things it is very comforting knowing I am not the only one. So many things that you listed are the reasons for me to have this surgery. I don't have children yet but I am hoping my infertility will take a hike after my weight loss!!!
  12. I live in Lafayette and I will be having the surgery at St. Elizabeth's in Gonzales on June 11th. Super nervous.
