  4. Congratualtions with your surgery! I am glad you like Florida but I would love to see Grand Cayman! Best of luck with your sleeve!!
  5. 60 pounds down is fantastic!! Sorry you had to do it the hard way!! I have had shingles 3 different times and it can really knock you down! Add that to the recovery of your sleeve and you were one exhausted soul!! I am glad to hear you are doing better and you have some great days ahead of you!!

Congratulations on your surgery! Glad things are going well. The burping is very common and hopefully the nausea will pass soon. I still burp a lot so I am hoping that will lessen with time. Do you have some nausea medicine? If not call your doctor and ask him to script you some. It will help quite a bit.I wish you a great recovery!
  7. Where are these in the store? Are they at Whole Foods or your local grocery store? I like 7.5 carbs!!
  8. This looks wonderful and I will give it a try!!
  9. Can't say that I have! I am trying to stay away from mindless carbs. I do brush my teeth several times a day because of that horrible taste that seems to plague me!
  10. Sounds like you are having a great recovery! Glad to hear you are doing so well!
  11. Got a big smile on my face right now!! Thanks for the grin!!
  12. My uncle won 4.8 million and invested it. They are still living off of it to this day. I think I would pay off my home, set up trusts for my children, Set up a spectacular vacation home, take care of a few loved ones and invest the rest. Alas I don't buy the darn things so I guess it will never happen! Oh well, you can't take it with you so I will be happy with what the Good Lord has blessed me with.
  13. That's good to know that there is at least 1 NSAID that can be taken!
  14. This is a terrific idea. The only one I know at this time is obviously NSAID's such as ibuprofen.

Hang in there! You need to take a deep breath and relax. It is probably as you stated "a small glitch". You sound like me when I have a worry about something that is very important to me I can not relax until it is settled. Do some praying and I will for you as well! Please keep us posted on the outcome!!
  16. I hope all went well!! Best wishes!!
  17. This was well said and could be said for a lot of us. I am taking my sleeve very seriously and have stayed away from all carbs that aren't smart. I may lose slow or quick and that is fine with me. My doctor told me if I stay within my calories and get my protein and liquids in I will lose. The body can't defy the math as he put it. I agree that the maintenance and the rest of our life will be the big success and I plan on winning it! Thanks for the post!
  18. I would do it all over again! I know I could not have done this without the surgery. My clothes are fitting so much better and I feel better about myself. Get the Gas X you will want it. Make sure you have plenty of protein drinks in stock and get a baby spoon to help remind you to ear small bites and go slowly. Keep us posted!!
