  1. I should have mentioned that, I started cottage cheese, yogurt, eggs, refried beans on Thursday. Prior to that was only clear liquids.
  2. No purée here. Doc and NUT said you're more likely to get more food in because it takes the air out with purée foods, and besides who likes mush, so they skip that phase.
  3. Keep up the awesome work! You're making it happen!
  4. Happy surgiversary! You should be very proud of yourself! You look great, you look like you feel great, and the fact that you DO feel great is the icing on the cake!
  5. What part of Texas? maybe someone can suggest a surgeon's office to help you.
  6. Minor, and didn't notice it from the dryness of being NPO for 24 hours. Mine was just a little soreness/rawness nothing major though.
  7. I was lucky on this front. They only woke me at 3am and moved vitals to the same time as blood draw while I was in there so I could sleep! My hospital was great!
  8. Congrats! I was sleeved same day, feeling what to me is hunger, but I don't know if it is. Just today got off Clear liquids, and tolerating more than 64 oz of Water and had 4oz of cottage cheese for lunch (first meal) and 5.3 oz of Greek yogurt for dinner. Tomorrow will be the first test with 3 meals for the day. Oh, and have lost 14.6 since surgery.
  9. The part that matters has spoken, it's a COKE! Lol :-P
  10. The liquid was all mine was adamant about, and I was thankfully getting them in from the start
  11. COKE. no matter the brand. Lol
  12. Mine was clear liquids til my first followup. Tomorrow is that first followup. I can't stomach the broth anymore so it's all about Popsicles and Jello. Mine also was no Protein focus, don't add any, the protein starts after the first post op appointment.
  13. I lost well over 200 lbs 6 or 7 yrs ago, and the reason I gained it back was body image issues. This time I will not do it again. Oh, I'll have body image issues and see myself over 400 lbs again just like I did then, but I've already got a list of counselors that I requested who are familiar with bariatric issues, because I know it will happen again. This time I'm being proactive about it.
  14. Just so you don't think it's just one for the ladies, I told one of my friends who said I was crazy too and that I look fine and shouldn't do this. My response was "the ball is rolling and I'm just needing support, not criticism." It took a couple of weeks and now my friend is being supportive.
