  2. Hi, I find myself at a stall at this point. I had my surgery on 2/23/2018 I have lost 25 lbs so far. I am 62 years old. For the last 2 week I have only lost half a pound. I too am depressed.

  4. Surgery had a few complications. While in recovery started to bleed internally. They had to rush me back in to surgery and fix the problem. Finally recuperating. It’s been a rough two weeks. I feel very lucky to be alive. While in hospital they pumped me up with 25lbs of fluid. So since my release I’ve lost 35 lbs. mostly all that fluid they pumped in me. Have lost10 lbs in 2 weeks of my regular weight.
  5. Wow. Same exact thing happened to me . I had my band taken out last December. Since then gained back 45 lbs. that’s why I am getting sleeve. My surgery is scheduled for this Thursday. Can’t wait.
  6. I had the band for 10 years. Then started having problems and had to have it removed. I didn't get the Sleeve and now I regret it.. I started gaining weight the minute they took it out. Didn't matter how much excersize or dieting I did I still gained. Needless to say after 9 months of gaining I decided to get the Gastric sleeve. I am schedule for Feb 22, 2018. I wish I would have just done it at the same time I had the band out. So I say go for it.
  7. I’m Feb 22!!! Super nervous! Started gaining a little weight this past week . Scared the surgeon will cancel. Tore a meniscus while excersizing and ever since been gaining weight. Even while dieting. Help!!!
  8. Hi, My hair started falling out at 6 months post-op too. My dr said it is from not getting in all the protein that you need. I bought nail and hair formula and it seems to make my hair healthier but it is still falling out. If anybody has any other suggestions let me know.
  9. Hi Gilly, I had mine done at the Barix clinic in ypsalanti, They have an entire Hospital dedicated to weight loss surgery. Check it out Barixclinic.com
  10. Hi Renee, Where in South Louisiana. I am from New Orleans and lived in Slidell for 30 years. I live in Michigan now though. I was banded on May 22.. Still on soft foods. My name is Lisa
  11. Thanks so much. You gave me some great tips. I feel a little better now. I have been reading some of these threads and was beginning to think this might not be working. I just have to learn to have patience. the only thing I am a little worried about is the excercise I have a bad back and it is hard to even walk more than about 15 minutes. Will I still loose if I don't excercise as much?
  12. Hi! Got banded on May 22. I lost 10 lbs the first week while on liquids. The next week I started on some soft food and started gaining back some weight. Is this normal? I am a little disappointed.
