  1. I'm scheduled to be sleeved on 9/16. I think I've got the first two weeks post-op covered. Isopure (and lots of it) Crystal Light
  2. Congrats, and thanks for the rundown. Please keep us posted on your progress. I'm scheduled to be sleeved on 9/16!
  3. You look amazing! I'm about 240 and my goal is 160. Getting sleeved one week from today!
  4. I'm 5'6 and about 245#. My surgery is 9/16 and my goal weight (for normal BMI) is 160. Anyone else 5'6 with some after pics? I could use some inspiration! ) You all look amazing, might I add.
  5. I'm September 16th, too, and nervous and excited all at once! I woke up at 2AM holding my stomach and saying to myself, "You're about to have 85 percent of your stomach removed. Have you lost your damn mind?"
  6. Approved! Surgery scheduled for 9/16!
  7. I am also September 16! Seeing Dr. Cunningham in Lafayette, La.
  8. You look amazing! What was your starting weight? How tall are you?
  9. My info was submitted on Thursday. Aetna approved me the following Monday. Signed my consent forms yesterday and got my surgery date of September 16 today! I'm 5'6 and weigh 240 pounds. How much can I expect to lose within the first 12 weeks? I think I'll be an average to fast loser. That's usually the case. I've never had trouble losing weight but I always have trouble keeping it off. This will be the third time I lose 80+ pounds since 1999, and I hope it's the last!!
  10. Has anyone been to either of these doctors? I started the process with Drs. Chu and Cunningham but am considering switching. Has anyone switched doctors once completing all of the pre-op requirements?
  11. I am at my wit's end. It has now been two weeks since my last appointment and my file still has not been submitted to insurance - despite the fact I completed all of my pre-op work in a timely manner (and was told it was submitted last week). And I don't want the excuse that they're busy. I'm busy too. I have to respond to reporters, execs and individuals at our corporate office all day long. It's my job! Without patients, this inadequate office staff would have no JOB! I'm *this* close to putting in a request for all of my medical records and switching doctors.
  12. I've already gone through all of the pre-op stuff! I'm now waiting to see if I'll be approved for surgery. Was hoping to do it mid-September!
  13. I was told last week that all of my paperwork had been submitted to insurance. Yesterday, I called Aetna to follow up, and learned, much to my chagrin, that nothing had been submitted! I called the surgeon's office and was told they needed a few more days - despite the fact that they have everything they need (or so I was told). While I have complete confidence in the "Center of Excellence" surgeon I've selected, his office staff certainly leaves much to be desired. They've been the biggest pain in the rear to work with and I've had to beg for information along the way. But how on earth can I even complain when I'm at their mercy???? So frustrating!!! Just needed to vent...
  14. I will be self-pay if insurance denies me. My surgeon's fee includes three months of BLIS insurance and covers anything that could go wrong 100% during the first three months post-op.
  15. Just got word that everything was submitted to Aetna this week. Please send prayers, good vibes, happy thoughts and a rabbit's foot my way. Hoping to be approved and to know something within the next two weeks!! Anyone want to share how long it took for you to get an answer from Aetna?
