  1. I'm going in this afternoon too! Good luck! Speedy recovery and keep us posted! we're sleeve sisters! Lol
  2. I officially go from Pre to Post-op today! My surgery in scheduled for 1pm. I'm So excited (and a little nervous) for this new chapter in my life to begin. Wish me luck!
  3. Thank you everyone for your advice, support and motivation!
  4. Is it just me, or did anyone else have a hard time sticking to the pre-op diet? I'm supposed to have 2 protein shakes and one salad with a portion of veggies and grilled chicken plus 2 pieces of fruit a day. I can't do it! I'm trying, and I've lost 5 lbs but I'm supposed to lose 10! I fall off the wagon all the time. I'm embarrassed that I can't stick to the diet as strictly as I should. I've gone through all my testing and everything is good to go. My surgery is a week from today! Am I the only one who's having a hard time?
  5. How is it going so far? You've been post-op for almost a month- that's great!
  6. That's so exciting! I'm July 26th with Dr. Ahmad. Next Friday! Im starting to get excited! Best of luck and keep in touch!
  7. My date is July 26th! I'm excited and nervous. I meet the nutritionist today and have my psych eval right after. Best of luck, everyone! Keep in touch!
  8. I can't wait to be comfortable in my own skin again. To not constantly worry about my health. I can't wait to stop avoiding parties, weddings and social gatherings because I'm so self conscience. To not have to wear Spanx constantly, even to the beach. I can't wait to be a better mom and have energy to play with my 2 year old son. I can't wait to be the person I was when I met my husband. I can't wait to be intimate with him again and I can't wait for him to WANT to be intimate with me again. My son and my husband deserve the best mom and wife that I can be... And I sure as hell want to be that for them more than anything.
  9. I'm doing the happy dance! Thank you, I can't wait! I bet you can't wait to find out when your date will be! That's so exciting! Best of luck to you. Keep us posted!
  10. I just finished scheduling all of my appointments! I can't believe it's actually happening. I'm feeling an array of emotions... from excited to scared, nervous to impatient. Anxious, happy, slightly stressed... You name it. I hope the next 56 days go smoothly for me. I so badly want an "after" picture! More than anything. Thank you to everyone on here who have inspired me to reach for a better, healthier future. I can't wait.
  11. Thanks! Good to know. I will definitely check it out!
  12. Thank you for that. I am to be sleeved in July and I was worried if I was making the right decision. I feel much better about my choice with the sleeve. Thanks again! Very inspirational! Continue the great work!
  13. Hi Jessica! I'm also from LI NY. My tentative date for surgery is July 26th with Dr.Ahmad. Exciting! Good luck to you!
  14. Thank you! Same to you! Hope it all goes well for you. 42 BMI ????
  15. Hi Everyone! I'm new and not sure where to begin. I have my fist consultation visit with my surgeon ( Dr. Ahmad - Port Jefferson, NY) this Wednesday and I'm not sure what to expect. Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me? What happens at your first visit? I went to the seminar and started the process of paperwork for my surgeon, which I will bring to the first consult. This is just the beginning for me, but I'm excited and nervous at the same time!

  17. Thank you! That is very helpful!
  18. Hi there. I'm new here and I am nervous about being denied because of my meds. After reading a different thread, I've learned that my anti-depressant wont be a problem, but I also take Adderall for ADD. Has anyone heard of that particular med being an issue for being approved or in any way after surgery? Thanks!
