  1. My diet is much easier. 2 Protein shakes a day 4 ounces lean meat and 1 cup vegetables for dinner I can also have 3 Snacks a day like a boiled egg, cheese stick or 1/4 cup cottage cheese All liquid diet would be very hard. My surgery date is 5/29.
  2. I'm not sure what pre surgery diet you are doing but I have not has trouble with mine so far and I started it last Wed. I guess I thought you had to be strict with the diet so I haven't cheated at all. I kind of feel like this is a big decision and doing this diet is just only a stepping stone to get to the surgery. It's a huge like change and I think one should really think about it before deciding to do it. If you are serious about losing weight then you can do it. Stay strong!
  3. Why do people go to Mexico for surgery?
  4. No problem! I appreciate everyone's comments. My surgery is 3 hours from my home and they told me when I go home I just have to be sure to stop and get out and walk around.
  5. Thanks for your input. My doctors office said 7-10 days would be fine so that I what I'm hoping for. (fingers crossed)
  6. I am having my surgery on the 29th of May and I am wondering how long most is you were off work. I just do a desk job. Please fill me in. I'm planning to go back on June 10th. Is that realistic?
  7. Good for you! That is exactly how I feel.
  8. Yes I totally feel obsessed and my husband has been so good but sometimes I can tell he is like, are we taking about this again. Ha! I guess I just am so excited and he is one of the few that knows about it at this point so he hears the most.
  9. I'm not nervous yet but I'm sure the day before and day of I will be nervous.
  10. Who all is having surgery on the 29th? Lets get a support group going. :-) I'm also very new to this.
  11. That's amazing! Way to go. Do you mind if I ask your starting weight?
  12. Thanks Kathy! I am so glad I found this app. My family is SUPER supportive but it's nice having people who are going through what you are. I'm excited.
  13. I'm doing my best. I hope to meet some people to do this journey with.
  14. Thank you! I am very excited/anxious for surgery. Good luck with your recovery.
  15. I'm new to this group and don't really know what I'm doing. I am scheduled for surgery May 29th and I am very excited. I am currently doing my pre-surgery diet. My weight today is 267 but my highest weight was 290. I am only 5 feet tall so I need to get this weight off. Being overweight has been a life long struggle for me. I look forward to being a better healthier version of me. If anyone wants to be friends or and support each other in this adventure I'm in. :-)
  16. My surgery is May 29th. :-)
