I was sleeved on May 8th. I've lost 18 pounds since the surgery. Very happy I did this.

caring for a 1 year old after the surgery? Moms and Dads, I need advice.
I have a 2 year old as well. The first day home she wanted me to pick her up and clung to my leg insisting I do it. I explained to her that mommy had a boo boo and showed it to her. She has been very good through this process. When she wanted me to pick her up I reminded her about the boo boo and she was ok with it. I taught her how to climb up the recliner using her legs and mine. If she fell asleep in my recliner for nap time then I left her there. I've been fortunate to have 10 yr old twin boys and a husband to help in the evenings and on the weekends. Just before my two week mark I felt ok with picking her up, but not carrying her. By two weeks I felt comfortable enough to carry her again. Good luck to you!!

Hunger pains
My stomach and throat make those same growling and gurgling noises. I'm glad to hear it gets better. I'm 16 days post op and it has been getting better each day.

What is my stomach doing?
I'm 16 days post op and my stomach goes crazy too. I'm on soft foods now. Every time I eat my stomach and throat start making all kinds of noises. I hope this eventually goes away. I don't know if its some time of reflux problem or what, but it sucks.

My surgery was may 7th
I've been wondering the same thing. My surgery was May 8th. I am so hungry. I don't regret doing this, but wish I could sleep the next month away so when I wake up the doctor will tell me I'm good to eat normal again. Clear liquid diet sucks! Good luck to you!

My doctor said clear liquids only this week. The smell of the broth is making me sick to my stomach. I managed to get about 6 oz of it down yesterday. That's my only source of protein at this point. Do you have any suggestions?- May 8th sleeved
I had my sleeve surgery May 8, 2013 in New Iberia, LA. I started at 198 pounds. Today is day 4 and I'm done 8 pounds. Surgery went well. I wasn't as sore as I thought I would be. I returned home yesterday and have been starving since. I hope I can figure out what will fill me up. I'm on clear liquids for the first week. - May 8th sleeved
