  1. I was sleeved on 6/12. Everything went okay and came home Friday morning. Since I been home I have been lucky to get one water bottle down a day. I'm taking all my meds, liquid loratab, protonix n a gerd medication... Today supposed to start protein shakes n children's chewable vitamins. Took vitamin this morning n instantly had dry heaves... I am still in alot of pain! Sleeping is even becoming a chore. I know I can't get even 1 protein shake down. . I'm scared. Last thing I want is back in hospital!! Only good thing I can keep down is a sf Popsicle... Do u all think this will get better in a few days, or should I be worried
  2. I wonder why you can't have gas-x! Dr told me take it the strips kinds that dissolve on your tongue.. I'm really worried about not getting enough liquids in. I'm supposed to start protein shakes today but still struggling even getting 8oz of water and should be at 24oz . It will get better I hope loll praying for all of us!!!
  3. Awe same here and I am more uncomfortable then I have ever been now will b a week before the pain lets up with cramps added in lol... Funny how so many go through same exact thing same time... I am having a lot of pain/discomfort on my left side but the back area, I can't explain it good but under armpit I dk what is causing it but I cannot get comfy no matter how I lay.. Gonna try n lay back down!!! Hope you all start feeling s'more comfortable will check back in cpl hours again loll
  4. Had my surgery on the 12th... Home now... Really sore stomach but getting up n walking as much as possible n drinking as many sips of water as I can! Gained 16 lbs in hospital, and cried, but they said will easily come off when fluids are released and such so I hope they are right
  5. I'm on way to hospital too! Very good luck everyone going in today! I been praying for weeks for all of us!!!! Update everyone when I can:)
  6. Lmaooo I totally agree and so glad will b over in under 12 hours.... Yayyyy gl
  7. This same exact situation happened to my sister in law... She changed over to my dr, which was also a different psych dr and she flew through everything fine! Maybe a option for you too . Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
  8. I'm here patiently waiting for the 12th lol... I don't really know how to start a convo on here with one person but once u send me one, I got responding down to a science! Lolll good luck everyone.... Will soon be our time!
  9. Mine is $1500 deductible for yr, after that's met surgery is 50:50! The psych was $265, pcp $30 each visit, chest X-ray $120, surgeon consult was $290, upper endoscopy was $800 with $350 being anesthesia. Problem was if my deductible was met insurance would've cover half of each thing but not my case since 0 was used if deductible so far. As of now my deductible covered up to $900 n surgery is on June 12th. The scariest part of whole thing is unknown of how much this will be in the end. Our insurance isn't the best either and $90 a wk comes out of hubby check a wk for premium n it only covers him n I. My kids are on state insurance thank god! We have blue care network of Michigan.
  10. Hi Jenna. Dr Zeni is also my surgeon n surgery is June 12th. Gettin closer I am so excited! What time is the supports meeting and do u know if is in Livonia? I might go n my sis n law also. She goin through Zeni also but no date yet cuz of insurance requirements.
  11. June 12th here too Good luck!!!!
  12. I have fibro and also a.s. and yes I am getting sleeved on June 12th. Dr said won't cure the fibro but will definitely help with the pain and make easier to walk and what not. Very good luck to you!
  13. I am new to these boards and after reading this thread and seeing that CATTY attacks here makes me feel like in high school. I can see the popular group here and honestly if your all so educated on the rules and follow every single one to the T, then why are you patients instead of surgeons? None of you can say you have no addiction and it was easy to quit because we are all getting sleeved because we can't lose the weight the right way!!!! It is a disease to be addicted to smoking just like it is eatting so no one here has the right at all to tell someone not to get the sleeve if they smoke. She was giving a honest answer and not sugar coating it to make everyone else like her or get all on board with her! I'm sorry it's just wrong how some of the woman in here are on high horses! She didn't encourage the op to smoke she was honest with her experience... So lets all jump down her back because honestly she is the only reason your all sick from 2nd hand smoke! Unreal! Get a grip! I'm glad there are some here who will tell good bad and ugly!!!! N before you go on with ur lecture to me go somewhere else to lecture I quit 3 months ago and i still want them badly. I didn't quit for the surgery! Was other reasons but some of you know everything so u can prolly tell my story for me . Smh
  14. Yes you can take anxiety meds up till the day of surgery, but your pcp or surgeon might have preferences of when they want you to stop You may be able to take meds with small sip even on surgery day. Depends on surgeon. I'm also being sleeved on the 12th! Good luck to us
