  1. No I'm not crazy.... it's just that starting the liquid diet stage means my surgery date is almost here!!!! Every time I want to cheat I think of how close I am to surgery (16th)!!! On a side note... if you are looking for s variety of flavors on a liquid diet then Teavana teas will help! I ♥ them! There are so many types and they are loose leaf so you can mix them. Blueberry Bliss mixed with strawberry Lemonade is heavenly. My daily tea is Earl Grey Cream. They are so healthy and tasty! If you do get some then be sure to get a "perfect tea maker", it's around " $15. The tea itself can get pricey when you try lots of different flavors. Good luck to all!
  2. Do y'all still have your gallbladders? I'm thinking if you do then that might be the problem. High fat will set off an attack. And eggs are notorious for setting off one too, as is coffee.
  3. How's all the lower BMI people doing? Have most of y'all had surgery? Mine is coming up.... July 16th! I was wondering how the weight loss is going?!?!?
  4. So glad someone else knew what I was taking about! People usually don't realize that the gallbladder can malfunction without stones.
  5. Are you kidding me- I have done this for the last two MONTHS! I am so ready to be free from food! I love it all - the good and the bad! I love pizza and salad, salmon and mac-n-cheese...I cold go on and on!!!!
  6. It's Sunday, I wonder if she made it to Dallas? The more I think about this the madder I get... why would anyone go to be "supportive" and NOT BE supportive?!?!?
  7. I'm praying she went to the hospital!
  8. I'm a nurse and they are all right... get to the ER for some fluids. You could cause kidney damage, blood clots, altered mental status, arrhythmias.... well you're already scared enough. Get some fluids in you, ASAP! How much are you able to keep down? Measure your intake. Keep a log of it, and note your output too, then tell your doc when you go to the ER! Are you having any muscle cramps yet?
  9. I know how you feel!!! I'm ready. I just can't believe how that date is rapidly approaching!!!
  10. Any gallbladder issues will cause constipation....try different laxatives. Go to CVS/Walgreens and go to the pharmacist and let him/her know what you've taken and ask for a suggestion for a different laxative. The pain in your back is consistent with a malfunctioning gallbladder. So is the pain on your right as long as it's in your upper abdomen. The lower right abdomen has the appendix. Try this until you can get to the doctor: -eat low fat -don't over eat -limit or omit caffeine -watch for foods that trigger the pain, like eggs, red meat, buttery foods... Good luck hon, and if you do ever get it checked out let me know how it turns out!
  11. If you want you can join our fb group but I have to add you as a friend first. Private message me if you want my fb name or you can give me yours.
  12. We can support each other! Are y'all on facebook? If you prefer not to communicate except on here, I'd totally understand. But if y'all want we can communicate on fb. I don't plan to go "fb public" right now but we could message. Or we could exchange phone#s and text. I'm excited! I don't have any friends (well i do have one that just had it but her life is too jam packed with lots of babies!) having this surgery but I have a bunch of work friends that had it done a while back. They all look fabulous!
  13. Let's be buddies! I'm only a couple of days before you! Being short and heavy sucks...I can't wait to start, I'm even excited about the liquid diet! Tomorrow is my 40th b-day and I wanted this surgery so bad before I turned the dreaded 4.0.! Oh well....I'm only a few weeks shy! I don't start my liquid diet until a week before.
  14. Where to start?!?! The band sucks beyond belief! I have had it for 8 yrs. It has never worked. It is above my stomach so food gets stuck above my stomach and then I can't eat and I'm STARVING! And I haven't had any "fill" in my band for 7 years. First thing in the morning food always gets stuck, esp eggs and milk. Things that go down easily are sugary foods. I think it's because sugar is broken down starting with saliva and things like veggies don't get broken down until they get to the actual stomach, where the bile is. :/
  15. Omg.... I'm speechless.... that's horrible! I'm so sorry and I agree you need to be a squeaky wheel and complain tomorrow. They could re-run the UA prior to your surgery- on the same day! Good luck!
  16. Yay!!! I'm so excited! I'm having a revision. So I'm most nervous about getting my band out. Do you have to do a pre-op diet?
  17. One of my co-workers that got sleeved was having the same problem and she wasn't losing any weight. She decided to start over with her doctors post-op instructions. She is losing again and has cut out alcohol. She looks great! Good luck to you!!!!!
