Was prescribed Synthroid during my pregnancy and stopped taking it after about a year. It has been close to a year of not taking it. The doctor I went to was a a condescending witch of a woman concerning my weight and diabetes and handed me a south beach diet plan and sent me on my way. She was an endocrinologist I sought. She had me tested for Hashimoto and was going to do other tests but renewed my prescription in SMALL DOSES to keep me coming back. It was negative thankfully. Will my barriatric team or personal doctor test to see if my thyroid is still sluggish and re prescription the meds?

I think my bf is jealous I'm getting this done. She's suddenly acting odd saying DON'T get the surgery you can die. I think the idea of me being skinny again without her freaks her out. My husband? Super supportive! Not telling anyone else in fear of unsolicited advice and negative reactions.
