  1. Tomorrow, July 5 is finally my day. So nervous and excited.
  2. Ok nerves are here. My surgery is in the morning. I will record a blog before and after but won't get it up on my YouTube channel till I get home. I'm scared. I can't believe it is finally here. Went by so fast.
  3. HeatherRad I am having surgery Friday the 5th and I'm teaching class on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. We do what we must. Just take it easy.
  4. So glad you are home ok. My surgery is Friday and to say that I am nervous as hell is an understatement. Im glad you are doing well.
  5. How about Sleeve McQueen, or sleevealicious
  6. I love it! This is too funny. I like sleevie nicks.
  7. @vixynne good luck tomorrow and keep us posted.
  8. Riverside, but corona a week after surgery.
  9. Do we have a Facebook page that anyone know of.
  10. OMG - Amy? Hahaha. How awesome.
  11. Penguin13 you are friday July 5 also? I am as well. We can be sleeve buddies. Yay. I will add you as a friend and we can keep in touch. I have dropped 10 lbs in the week 1 also. So easy huh?
  12. So here is my question. I have always drank coffee, and even weeks leading up to surgery, so now they say no coffee before this surgery and I get it dehydrates you, but Im drinking tons of water and have lost 10lbs in one week on pre op diet. So why cant I have a little coffee? I think I am going to get one from starbucks today anyway. I miss it.
  13. Stop exercising for now. Your putting on muscle. Wait until after for that. You need to look at what your drinking. How many sugars are in it and how much protein. Try between 15 and 20 g of protein per shake, 11 oz to 14oz only. Muscle milk lite is awesome tasting and has about 20is g of protein. EAS Myoplex and Atkins are also excellent tasting and in the correct range. I get 4 - 5 shakes or a bar and 4 shakes or 4 shakes and a soup. All the non starchy veggies and 3 Servings of fruit and thats it. 800 - 1000 calories per day.
  14. My doc told me he would be giving me Heparin before surgery. I told him I was on a blood thinning medication already and he wants me to stop it 5 days before surgery. I think that is what causes me to bruise so easily.
  15. Take a zanax or a melatonin to help you sleep. If it keeps up I would talk to my doctor about prescribing you something to help. It could be the changes in your chemicals with less food and all.
  16. Wow! Freaky. Did he take a photo for you? I would love to see it. I have never heard of this, but it does make sense.
  17. So glad to hear you are doing well. Congratulations on the successful change over from your previous wls effort. Angels be with you.
  18. Ok, so tomorrow is one week of this pre-op diet and I am down 9 lbs so far. Slow start but about a lb a day now. Fit into size 18 pants yesterday that I have not worn in over 2 years. Just about cried. Still cant believe this is really happening. My life is about to totally change and I am going to get me back again. I have felt like I lost who I was over the past 20 years. Now I get to find that girl again. So excited to spend the second half of my life in complete happiness with myself. Yay!
  19. Oh, I see. Even if I'm guzzling the water all day and peeing like crazy? Well I guess it's bye bye coffee.
  20. Ok so today was day 6 of my preop diet. So far easy except I can't give up the coffee. I keeping getting one Starbucks a day. Can anyone tell me why we have to give it up at all? I have been so faithful on everything but that, and I'm dropping weight. Do you think it will effect my outcomes?
  21. Ornurse797 -my nutritionist told me on a clear liquid diet no red or green jello. At least not before surgery.
  22. Congratulations on your surgery. I am due in 1 week and three days. I have heard that the gas pain can go away in a day or two but can linger minimally for up to a month. Walk, Walk, Walk, burp and toot as much as possible to help get it all out. Never heard of a liver biopsy during this procedure, and that is kind of scary. I wish you the best on it. Keep us posted and good luck with everything.
  23. No pre-menstrual, hysterectomy 11 years ago. Drinking lots, and lots of water. Peeing all day long (TMI?)
  24. My pre-op consists of All the non-starchy veggies I want, which I try to eat at least 2 times a day about 1 - 2 cups of things like broccoli, cauliflower and such. Then I get either 5 protein shakes or 4 protein shakes and a soup or bar. Then I also get three servings of fruit, which I usually put in my shakes. I did see a few pounds today, but not as much as I would have thought for an 800 - 900 calorie diet. I am by no means starving to death. Actually feeling full most of the day, surprisingly. LOL Oh what I wouldn't give for a chicken or a sandwich. LOL
