  1. I'm having my sleeve on Sept 30th. Today I had my Lasik consultation and they scheduled me for the procedure on October 11th. Has anyone had major visual changes due to their large weight losses? I'm wondering if I should wait a while on the Lasik. Any thoughts or experiences?
  2. We will be starting our pre-op liquid diet on Tuesday. He has to do 30 days so I'm just starting it then with him. I think I'm actually ready. I've been having a week & a half long food funeral so I feel like crap. I'm ready to stop eating & get with the plan. Nothing has tasted as good as I thought it would; now I have a few extra pounds to get rid of.
  3. OMG is it ever!! I have to hold legs up when they prep them for a leg surgery. Talk about heavy and it's LOTS worse holding up two at the same time. I'll be glad to get rid of my tree trunk legs in the near future.
  4. Your starting stats are very similar to mine. I hope I have the amazing loss you're having. You're definitely kicking butt and look great. You'll be at goal before long.
  5. I'm in west central PA. Where is Saye? Eastern PA?
  6. My fiance and I are both getting sleeved the same day--Sept 30th. I think it'll make the pre-op dieting and all the stages easier by going through it together.
  7. Good luck to you Michele. My fiance and I are getting sleeved by Dr Alvarez on Sept 30. Look forward to following your progress.
  8. So very sorry for your loss. I hope you find comfort in all the great memories you shared with him.
  9. I love when people take their pictures in front of doors. It really gives you another visual of how much you've lost by seeing how much of the door you can now see behind you....not that the extra visual was needed. Your weight loss is very evident. Keep up the great work.
  10. You are doing amazingly well. Love your haircut. You look so much younger. Keep up the great work.
  11. Looking good. What a difference a year makes.
  12. Impressive results. Keep up the great work. I hope I see such a big difference after one month.
  13. Always wise words from you Cheri. All very good points to keep in mind.
  14. We took out a loan from my fiancé's credit union. We are both getting sleeved in Mexico so we took out enough to cover surgery, airfare, extra hotel room for my mom who is going with us, & passports. We will use our savings to cover any bills if needed while I'm out on FLMA. My fiancé is using vacation time so he'll get full pay while off. Good luck & I hope you're able to secure a method to get the surgery paid. We felt the extra $400/month payment was worth it for our health. I'm guessing you might feel similar because having kids is riding on it for you.
  15. Fantastic progress. You don't even look like the same person.
  16. September 30th for us.
  17. You look fantastic. Love your hair curly too. Makes your transformation that much more striking. Congratulations!
  18. Where & from whom do you purchase complication insurance? How expensive is it?
