  1. Forgot to post our weights yesterday. Him: 323 Me: 238.8
  2. Ha ha. I love how no one else has commented like it's not happening to them. (My hand is raised....for both of us). Maybe our bodies are just cleaning out all the crap food and toxins we've eaten for so many years.
  3. 105 lbs in 3 months!! Wow, what are you eating? Exercise routine?
  4. Beautiful!! You look fabulous in it. I love reading your blog too. You have such interesting stories to share.
  5. You will love him. Great experience!!
  6. We are in again. 10/31: me 239.5 Hubs 325 T-day goal: 10 lbs each.
  7. Him 325 Me 239.5. I'm 4.5 lbs from the goal I set and WAYYYY off from what I thought hubs would lose.
  8. Dr Alvarez sends you home with a copy of his book and Susan will email you info about all the pre and post op diet plans, info on the Vitamins we need to take. Dr Alvarez also emails us when it's time to move to the next phase of our food plan. I'm sure there is plenty we could have learned from a nutritionist, but we are doing great with the support & info we get from this forum. I'm confident we will reach our goals. It's great that you have a PCP who is supporting your decision and will follow you. We are lucky that way too. My fiancé has been able to get off 2 Rx meds already. He's very happy about that. Good luck on your journey. You'll do great. Looking forward to following your progress.
  9. We were sleeved by Dr Alvarez on 9/30. We felt safe and had no issues regarding our safety. Dr Alvarez is a fantastic surgeon and I would go to him again without hesitation.
  10. Me: 241.8 (-4.2) Him: 326.2 (-.3)
  11. I was sleeved 9/30 also. I've only lost 15 lbs since surgery/ 32.5 including the pre-op
  12. You look fantastic.
  13. Are you down 25 including pre-op diet or just since surgery?
  14. My fiancé and I were sleeve by Dr Alvarez on 9/30. We are very pleased with him. I'm an operating room nurse and was looking for short cuts or some negative about the whole process. He's fantastic!! My incision scars look like a plastic surgeon closed them. They are so flat and faint already. His coordinator Susan was great to work with. She responses quickly to emails. His van driver Rosie is super nice. We also really loved Andrea; she checked in on us several times to see if we needed anything and even offered to go get my mom dinner outside the hospital. I highly recommend Dr Alvarez and would go to him again in a heartbeat.
  15. I'm only 3 weeks out so definitely no sleeve expert, but my tips would be: 1) Don't compare yourself to others. As hard as that is, everyone's journey is so unique and personal. It will drive you crazy. 2) Remember to keep your eye on the prize. It gets discouraging when you are in a stall or losing slowly. Just remember, you really won't be the only person the sleeve doesn't work for if you work your sleeve. 3) Get your Water in 4) Get your Protein in 5) Remember to enjoy life. Have fun and start enjoying all the things you missed out on being overweight. 6) Listen to your body. It's a good source of info. Good luck and keep us posted.
  16. Fantastic job. You look healthy and happy. Congrats on your hard work!!
  17. Him 330 today I'm at 248.5
  18. Yes, my fiancé took his machine to Mexico when we got sleeved last week. He definitely needed it and they did ask him to bring it in our pre-op instructions.
  19. What a transformation. You don't even look like the same person. Congratulations on your success.
  20. We were just sleeved by Dr Alvarez in Piedras Negras Mexico on Sept 30. We are extremely pleased with our surgery and the care we received from him and all his staff. They are very efficient and organized. Could not have asked for a smoother experience. Our wait was 3 months, but that was my choice due to my work schedule.
