Unbelievable charge for VSG to my insurance
Seems quite high. My Dr and hospital were seperate billings. I've never seen ins companies pay the full amount of the charges. Mine paid approx 1/2 of the charges but that amount was accepted as payment in full by the Dr & hospital. Still my total charged by Dr and hospital for 1 night stay, sleeve & hernia was approx. 35,000. This didn't include the anesthiologist or pathology which were billed seperately but also covered.

Are you getting a new driver's license or work ID since losing weight or once you reach goal?

Curious...Carbs
I used to have pasta or pizza weekly pre-sleeve. A lot of my cooking was throwing protein, veggies and pasta together for a casserole or stir-fry. Haven't had any cravings for it yet but once the weather cools off that might change. My Dr told me a year after surgery (he didn't say I had to wait a year but used that timeline) if I go out to a pizza place with friends I'd probably eat 1 piece of pizza instead of multiple pieces. I've not had either yet.

Lettuce?
Sometime lettuce could create havoc with my stomach pre-sleeve. Haven't tried it yet post-sleeve.

What's for dinner?
What is the 1/4 serving? 1/4 of the whole meatloaf? May try to adapt this to muffin tins since it's just me.

I just want a sandwich!
Sandwich? What's a sandwich? hahah oh yeah, I remember bread.

Am I eating too much?
You didn't stretch your stomach by eating 8 oz of yogurt. I think my yogurt is in a 6oz container and I could eat that once I hit the full liquid stage at 2 weeks out but it did take me at least 30 mins to eat it. Much quicker now

How long post-op did you need shakes?

- How long post-op did you need shakes?
I've been getting minimum of 90g of protein a day. I only have 2-3 protein shakes a week tops. The rest is from food. I do eat 6 times a day though with max cals at 900. At 4 weeks it was still 500-600/day I think.- Sliders
Even though a protein shake may slide down I don't think it's considered a slider. If it's a ice cream shake or some sugar filled coffee drink, maybe. Basically things that don't create a feeling of restriction that are empty calories with no protein or things that fall under this category that create craving for more (carbs). Each person may have different sliders foods.- Weigh in number 5 of 6 with my PCP and a ?
Sounds like you're asking if they have to be exactly 1 month apart? Check with your surgeon's office. You'll want to be sure for your ins requirements. I know one of my months was 5 weeks apart and another month 3 weeks apart.- Idea for new sleevers...shrink movie
Fun idea. I'd get dizzy watching myself spin around though- I WENT MOUNTAIN BIKING!
I'd say you're an official mountain-biker now that you have the scars- So close...Yet so far away.
Mine was pretty easy. A couple of pages of questions to fill out and then 20-30 mins with psychologist. She gave me the all clear before I left the room.- Is it possible?
It's possible and lucky you! I waited for 2 weeks after surgery to weigh in since I know I gained about 10 lbs in the hospital. My stomach area was super swollen.- Bites per min?
No if I feel full or my nose starts to run I don't take another bite. There won't be any room.- Any Michigan Sleevers?
All good. Down 58. Happy with that. Still need to get in more exercise. Working 50-60 hr weeks & will be the same in Sept so finding it difficult to work it in.- Today is my 6 month Surgiversary and -90 lbs!
Great job! Huge change! The side view pic is an incredible difference.- From Vertical to LapBand
Can't answer your question but you usually read about people going from lap-band to sleeve. - Weigh in number 5 of 6 with my PCP and a ?
