  1. Good for you. I just started a Bootcamp and EVERYTHING hurts! I'm surprised I made it this long.
  2. Hey Erica, I'm in PG County. Congrats on your sleeve. How do you feel? As much as I would LOVE a support group, I'd rather meet up with some cool people with real stories, positive conversation and maybe a bowling ball. Lol
  3. I don't think I have ever been so tired and so sore in my ENTIRE life. I am a week out from meeting with my surgeon and hopefully receiving a surgery date within the next 30 days. So I decided to jump into a workout regimen....A BOOTCAMP! Part of me feels like I need this workout and part of me feels like it's too much. I believe I'm the biggest person in the class and I am truly struggling. Bouncing around with 300 on my back/knees is KILLER!! I hurt 1, If I ever mention that I'm considering not having the surgery.....PLEASE...just say the work BOOTCAMP!!!!
  4. That's a great idea. I joined a gym and meet with my trainer starting Monday.
  5. LITERALLY...I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs and have no clue what to do...IF I'm supposed to do anything at all. I'm two weeks away from my first appt with the surgeon. I know I should be doing something but WHAT. Lol I feel like an idiot
  6. I hate to say it but this might be a good opportunity to break the habit of him sleeping with you. He really needs to learn to sleep in his own bed but that's a wole other messageboard. It's been a while since I had a toddler but I think he'd understand if you told him that you need him to be a big boy because mommy has an "owwee." Maybe show him a bandaid on your stomach and let him know that it hurts so you can't pick him up orr have him run into you. He might be a little more mature than you'd think. But yeah...get him outta your bed LOL
  7. Thanks for that info. I'm a keloider so I'm expecting it. I'll have to break out my massage therapy skills to try and reduce the scarring. But trying to explain my current keloids ...is a chore.
  8. Anyone that is post-op...how are your scars? Did anyone keloid? And how do you explain them to a new beau????
  9. Dang autocorrect! Y'all know what I meant
  10. I really hope everyone becomes happy, confident and are able to embrace their nakedness. I can't imagine...but this is a judgement free zone. I can't wait to meet my Mistet so I can be named around him Lol I'm that baby that never keeps her clothes on...just 35 years older
  11. Thank you! I called today and made my appointment with the surgeon. That's April 25th. The wheels are spinning now
  12. Oh...I thought of more *I've never been someone's "first choice" *I've never the cute girl * I've never walked without wobbling or having to readjust clothing afterwards *I've never painted my own toes *I've never been able to "drop it like its hot" (and make it back up) *I've never lost my baby weight...she's 18 LOL
  13. Hmmmm... I'm 36 and I've never... *walked without my thighs rubbing *been on top longer than 3 mins *been in single digit clothes *ran
  14. I'm hoping for a June date. June 7t is my bday so that'll be the best present ever.
  15. Between finding out I was approved today and a great episode of SCANDAL....I'm having a good damn Thursday!
  16. Awesome! I just found out I was approved today also but don't have a surgery date as of yet.
  17. I'm not sure about the DOS yet. I'm assuming I have to meet with the surgeon first. My referral had an expiration date in June so I guess it needs to be fine by then. And thank you!
  18. This was hilarious! I'm gonna start doing my squats and stretches now.
  19. I've been approved for TWO WEEKS and didn't even know it. You know that blank stare of shock and awe you see on people's face when the find out the won the lottery or found their birth parents or something? That was my look when I called Kaiser today. They mailed my referral on the 20th of March! But I never got it...thanks to my non-supportive maternal parental unit (she hides my mail). Either way...HOLY CRAP!
  20. Finished my nutrition classes on March 4th. Paperwork submitted on the 6th. NUT forgot my psych eval so I called and had that done within 5 mins. I'm assuming there was a delay since the board meets twice a month. MARCH IS OVERRRRRRR (whines slightly). I left a message for my NUT this morning and come home to a letter from Kaiser. 8-0 Unfortunately, it had absolutely had nothing to do with what I wanted soooooooooo....I wait. I'm losing faith. I'm already paranoid about the surgery and if even want to go through with it but THIS WAITING is pure torture. Someone tell me a joke. LOL
  21. Hi Everybody, This is my first post. I'm a Kaiser patient in Southern MD, finished all of my required classes and waiting for my approval. I'm beyond nervous!!! Hopefully I can use this forum to gain some info, encouraging words, a little support (which I lack) and a few laughs :-) COME ON KAISER!!!
