Mine is 16,550 with Dr.De La Cruz Munoz at University of Miami. I did a lot of research before picking him but after everything I read felt the most comfortable with him. Where are you located asdamato22?

I actually didn't have it yet, scheduled for may 21st. and unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover it do to a exclusion by the company I work for, so self-pay. I started this process April 3rd, so everything has moved very quickly for me. What about you? Do you have a date yet?

I had my psych evaluation today, it was a joke though..i was there for like 15 mins, and he was like ok i'm clearing you for surgery. I'm self-pay so my process has moved along very fast. I started all of this on April 3rd. The liquid diet has not been easy but i just keep telling myself if i can get through this i can get through the surgery and be a success. It consists of 5 shakes a day (optifast), sugar free jello, and lots and lots of water. You will do great don't worry, it does get easier.

No, surgery is scheduled for the 21st. Just started my 2 week liquid diet on tues...just survived day 3 lol. When is yours?

Well tomorrow is my 2nd major step...I go see my NUT at 8:30am and start my 2 week liquid diet. I'm excited, nervous, and at the same time i keep thinking what am I doing? I have struggled with my weight for so long and i know this is the right thing for me, but of course I still have my doubts. The last few days i have been eating all my "favorite" foods, things that i want to avoid after surgery. Has anyone else done that? Starting my liquid diet just means my surgery is that much closer..which i'm kind of scared about. Never had surgery before. I do have to say I have some of the most supportive co-workers, 2 of them are doing their own versions of a liquid diet to help me out. I also downloaded My Fitness Pal on my I-phone, I would love to have some friends on there, you can find me on there under Hockeygirl1982@comcast.net. Thanks for letting me rant! And here's to starting the first major step to the new me tomorrow!!

Find that very hard to believe... I've been single for about 2 years now.....looking forward to my surgery next month and the new me..most importantly healthier... :-)
