I also agree with Aussiegirl!!! People have no idea! Kim, how is ur recovery going? I've got a question for anyone who was on the pre-op diet. I have been noticing that my teeth are getting sore/sensitive. Plus they seem to have a brownish colour around them even though I brush them. Did anyone have this happen and if u did, did it go away???

Hi everyone, I'm on day 6 of pre-op. And am doing soo well!!! I'm just starting to have a few freak outs about doing the sleeve!! But I know it's the best thing for me! I just want the 3rd to hurry up and get here!

SlimDreams, my date is 3rd june and I'm kinda having fears of "am i doing the right thing?" "Will I regret this op?" "Will I be happy with the amount of food?" Etc etc. I'm just glad I'm not the only one having little fears!!! But in the long run I know this is the best thing for me and I'll be fine

I'm 5 days into my pre-op and everyone is right.... It got easy and I'm not starved!! Everyone just stick it out and u can do it!!! My date is coming up fast.. 3rd June. So excited now

Oh by the way thanks everyone for all the info. Misty is so right it has helped! I'm on day 5 of pre-op and doing really well. I have finished cooking and freezing meals for puree and soft phase. Now just to get throught next week and then to get sleeved on the 3rd. I'm now more excited than nervous too

Misty my surgeon has set up a support group that meet every month at the Sunnybank Hospital (it's in the rooms next to the hospital). I'll know more when I'm in for tge 2 nights after the op so I'll pass on the details. I do know that people who have had their sleeve done by other surgeons that go there too

Well I've been busy cooking and freezing meals this week. I've made chicken and veg soup and beef and veg casserole and tomorrow I'm cooking spag bog and savoury mince with some pasta in it. I'm just trying to get organised. Also today was day 4 of pre-op and it was sooo much better. Not as hungry as I have been so I must be getting to the zone!!! I do have a question though. I don't like yougurt so do u think having low fat custard would be better in the full liquid stage?

Thanks! I've got tge anesthetist bill. My Dr doesn't do the swallow test unless he thinks it's needed but he doesn't charge extra which is great and my health insurance covers the meds etc which helps too. But thanks though I have my pre-admit next Wednesday. I'm so excited

I just paid for my surgery about 20mins ago!!! OMG it's really happening haha

WOW Misty that is fantastic!!! I'm still going strong with the pre-op day 2 was better and I hope day 3 is even better still. I go and see me Dr today for a last check up before surgery monday week. Then I get to pay for my sleeve this Friday!!! It's becoming VERY real! Kinda getting more nervous but still VERY excited to start my new and healthy life. I have told everyone I'm having this done and their all behind me which is fantastic! Only my sister is funny about it, but we all think she is a bit green! Lol. So I just don't talk to her about it. Keep up the great work everyone. Oh Brendan, I have been going through the same mind problems but everything I read from here puts me to rest. I know it's hard but just think, u'll live a longer and healthier life!!!

Hi everyone, It's great to hear your doing well Misty. Well today was the first day of mt pre-op!! And OMG!!!! I'm soooooo hungry!!! I'm so over it already lol. But I have been so good by sticking to the diet to a tee! I'm trying not to think I have another 13 days to go lol. Oh well I keep telling myself that today is the start of a new and healthy ME! Welcome to the newbies who have joined over the last week or so!
