I called my insurance today and its being reviewed now. I kinda get the feeling I won't be hearing back till the beginning of next week. Argh!

I'm supposed to have end of December surgery as well. My nut classes are scheduled for the 16th and the 23rd.

aww how come you were denied?My BMI wasn't 40+ over the last 3 years (yo yo dieting when I was weighed by my Doc), and the co-morbidities that they want that I have aren't severe enough. I'm appealing based on the fact that I have a number of co-morbidities that total up to a significant amount, even though they aren't all the ones they have listed. Also they said my 6 month diet didn't include any doctors notes, even though it was by a registered dietitian supervised by my primary care doc. I think my doc pulled her notes and sent them in, so that is taken care of at least! good luck to you!! Hopefully things work out!

How long have you been done with everything and been waiting to be submitted?

I have 2 classes, December 16th and the 23rd. But I've lost 20 pounds. I've been doing a lot of walking and cut out sweets and pop and occasionally been doing 2 shakes a day and a small meal for dinner

I was submitted last Tuesday and hoping to hear back this week. I'm told its with the nurse and being worked on. Ugh I'm dying!

ive seen a lot of posts like this and none of their surgeons canceled cause of a cold. If it's more than a cold or the flu than yes. However you might be a bit miserable while you recover. Still you should call to let them know.

Happy thanksgiving! I'm going about this day as usual lol bombing my stomach. Saturday I'll start doing mostly shakes cause I know ill prob gain some pounds lol

On another note my coordinator was gone till today so I've been submitted to insurance today. Some people with my insurance said it only took a week but the coordinator said it usually takes 14 days for a response...praying for a week or less!

when you call do you need a case number or code? or do you just give them your info. my paperwork gets submitted Friday and best believe im going to call everyday.

my paperwork will be submitted Friday to insurance. please send some prayers and good luck my way! I hear my insurance usually gets back in a week but with thanks giving next week that might screw things up lol.

I told my family after the seminar. I only had one who really didn't want me to go through with it. She still doesn't but is more supportive. Then my bf told his family and they are happy with it. Then later on I told some friends and they were like go for it. After that I posted on Facebook and no one really cared lol.

I'm 5'2" and 235. I used to be 260 but my center wanted me to lose 20 pounds.
