Can't believe we're coming up on one year! I'm down 140 lbs - truly life changing. I've not been as strict since the Holidays and my weight has remained stable. Must be eating enough calories, but also moving enough too, to maintain but not lose. I think I can lose more but, for now I'm just enjoying where I am. I know this is the real hard part, the last 20 or so. I set a goal of getting to 175 (loss of 160) but I have no idea if that's realistic or not. HW: 335 CW: 195 I haven't been on these boards much at all but we should do a before & after on the one year surgiversary!

Amazing that it's 6 mos huh? I'm down 104 and feel amazing. I will get plastics but not for a while yet. I wish I could now though because my arms and increasingly my ass are super uncomfortable during exercise It's amazing to me how much my face has changed. I mean my body too of course but I almost don't recognize my face. HW: 335 SW: 327 CW: 230 My first goal is to make it to onderland. Ultimately I'd like to be like 175. We'll see! Anyone.else's hunger coming back strong.it may be sure to my increased exercise but it sucks!

    march sleevers?

Surgery was 3/11. HW: 335 SW: 327 CW: 246 Height: 5' 7" 89 lbs down. Been losing consistently each week but last week and this is my first bad stall. It sucks. I have been basically the same weight for a week and a half.

How's everyone doing? I hit 60 lbs lost this morning (started at 335). Pretty thrilled. I actually haven't been tracking food for a few weeks so I don't know about calories but I'm largely eating what I was when I *was* tracking so I have a general idea. I have been a little more relaxed lately (had to eat out three days in a row for work and just made the best choices I could, had a bit of cake at my daughter's birthday party, etc). It feels great to be able to do that but still be in control (stomach can't hold that much and the next meal I'm right back on track). I go to Hawaii in October and I'm hoping to be down 100 by then we'll see!

    Post op march sleevers

I am. It was one thing my Nut was very specific about. In the beginning I was to keep 30 mins on each side. Now (2 mos out) I am to stop 15 mins before eating and 60 min after. It allows you to fill up on food and prevents your sleeve from being " washed out" and emptied by liquid. If that happens you *may* eat more since all food isn't staying and giving you the "satisfied" feeling. I've taken a sip or two and it actually makes me full and feel sick. So no, I don't do it and it's hard! I find it makes getting liquid in a challenge.
  8. Congratulations! I too started at 335 and I can't even imagine being 175 some day. It's my goal - here's hoping!!

So it's been 7 weeks....how's everyone feeling and doing? I feel fantastic. I have so much more energy and so much less pain already. it's like even if I don't lose another pound I already feel like a winner. Of course, I HOPE I lose many many more pounds HW: 335 SW: 327 CW: 290 (45 pounds lost!!)

I had a slow down in week three (lost 1 lb) but broke through and this last week, the fourth week, lost 6.6! I'm down 33 now. I'm eating lots of different things and my sleeve really hasn't rejected anything (well, it didn't love mashed potatoes but that was it). I have to really really concentrate on eating slowly. That's the hardest for me especially eating w/ my toddler when it's more about just getting done before she wants to get down and play. I was on purees in the Hospital - which sounds a lot different than people here - and now I'm on more solid food. I had an ounce of a turkey burger for lunch today.

    Greek Yogurt Recs?

I don't like fruity yogurt and I'm trying to eat Greek to get the hit of extra Protein. So far I've tried Fage 0% Plain and Chobani 0% vanilla. I had to add Splenda to both and it was still awful. It's actually pretty good with fresh fruit but I'm also trying to find one I like with nothing added. Ideas?

7 months out and 125 lbs down!

That's amazing! What do you credit for helping you be so sucessful (extra excercise? getting all liquid in every day? etc). I have a very similar start weight (335) and I am 3 weeks out and seriously can't imagine 7 mos from now being down 125! CONGRATULATIONS!
  13. I was due yesterday and was sure it was coming since I was up on the scale all week but....no sight of it. My surgery would have been right around ovulation time so I'm guessing that the trauma from that probably delayed my ovulation which will lead to a longer cycle than normal. I am normally like clockwork.
  14. I was sleeved on 3/11 - am down 26 (incl. 8 pre-op). I was in the Hospital 3 nights (one extra b/c I wasn't getting as much fluid down as they wanted). By 1 week I really felt myself again! Week 2 my incisions were so itchy but they aren't any more and they are looking nearly totally healed! I have my 4 week follow-up tomorrow (surgeon on vacation next week). As of today I move past purees and onto more solid foods. I've kind of slowly been moving in that direction anyway as my sleeve tolerated it b/c pureed meat was really really nasty. I'm feeling good! I do get hungry (real, not just head) and that's a bummer. I have been off Diet Coke since March 8th and I can add carbonation back in as of this week but I think I'm going to stay away as much as I can. In fact, I'd like to get rid of aspartame and sweeteners all together but I feel like there is a not of no-sugar stuff in the food plan so it's hard.
  15. I have a high BMI (50) to start and had an unhealthy diet pretty much right up until surgery (well, until 3 day clears). I am in week three and feel like I'm losing slowly - so I don't think your part about diet pre sleeve holds true, at least not for me. I lost 8 lbs pre-surgery. Bye Water weight! I lost 12 in week one I lost 3.5 in week two I have a GAIN in week three (so far - and was up much of week two before finally ending down). Given how heavy I am and how many calories I'd need to eat to simply maintain my weight compared to how many calories I eat now (550-700 per my NUT) it just seems crazy that it's not coming off faster. I wish I was one of those people who felt as though it just 'melted off'. I am hoping this week is the week 3 lull you hear about or that I'm about to get my period (I should anyway unless surgery and recovery threw things off which is possible).

I don't know but me too. Not every day but definitely have been. I have no problem eating and have a hard time telling if it's 'enough'. I also can drink pretty much like before (big sips). I am glad in one way I'm not suffering through eating but sometimes I wish I was one of the "few bites and full" people.

Every Doc really has their own protocol, huh? I was moved to purees in the Hospital. I've eaten things like Greek yogurt, pudding, scrambled egg, tomato soup w/ pureed chicken, etc.

I'm new, I was sleeved on Mar 11th,came home on the 14th. I am on purees. Doing OK haven't taken pain meds since yesterday. I'm actually worried or confused maybe that I seem to be easily able to drink and eat. I am not experiencing the 'three bites and full' that you hear about. I'm down 19 from my highest (12 since surgery day)
