  1. I gotta say....absolutely fantastic job. Major difference. congrats.
  2. Websters dictionary - "Surgery" When a surgeon........wait wait wait ......we all know the lecture.....but what is the real truth??? You think all that gurgling coming from your insides is just random noise???? If you place a stethoscope on your belly, this is what you'll hear.. "Hey, you out there....didn't you get the memo? REST and Recuperation." It's like Armageddon in here.....slashing and stapling, shoving everything all around, floods and burning and all this vacant space everywhere. Where they'd take that section of the fuel storage warehouse? "What are we supposed to do with all this empty space????" "And you out there using up all the energy......"Cmon, we need that in here!!" "It's bad enough with the fuel shortage now." How we supposed to repair all this mayhem without energy?" Half of us are still stumbling around all groggy from the big sleep"......!! And speaking of fuel supply.....ya wanna watch the quality of that stuff you've been supply'n. "With such a low amount, we need the good stuff. Ya know....the high Protein stuff" "Look, either you stop using up all the energy so we can get the repair work done, or we're going on strike." "And from what I hear those non-union guys that they bring in from that place called the Emergency Room, are a whole lot worse" " So cut us come slack and go easy on the energy out there and we will be able to turn this project over to you much sooner." "And one more thing........No more renovations for awhile" .........and that includes that Plastic thing I got wind of"........."Nice talkin to ya....." What, no stethoscope? Well, take my word for it, that's whats going on....... In the meantime Get some rest!
  3. "Bingo" perfectly spoken. Nothing wrong with a little help from a "tool".......(and I don't mean me ) I have done everything in my life I have ever set my mind to do.....except keep the weight off !!! I am with you on this one. Without the surgery, I will never accomplish it for the long term. And if I don't.......there will be no long term anything.
  4. The amount of ejaculate is determined by the prostate and can be affected by diet as well. Protein is very important to volume too. And as you know, with the sleeve, now, even more. Prostate enlargement can restrict the penis's ability to ejaculate too and can be a sign of more important issues. You might want to have your prostate checked out by a Urologist, just to be sure. And as the others have said, of course the frequency orgasm is a factor.
  5. Got nothing important to add............I just wanted to see what someone named "Bunny" had to say about lettuce........
  6. My wife says I'm perfect just the way I am........(just goes to show you how skewed people's viewpoint can be). I'm my worst critic, so I know I'll never be perfect. Frankly I'm striving for just staying alive.
  7. I would go for it, but I've been told, in my case the change wouldn't be that noticeable..............what's up with that?!
  8. Your looking at it all wrong.......Try this. After the sleeve, picture yourself staring at a very small table right next to you with very small portions of healthy unappetizing foods on it. (just enough to keep you alive) Then right across this, not so very large expanse, is a Large Buffet table loaded with every kind of delicious food and dessert you can imagine. Only the expanse is bottomless quicksand teeming with quicksand sharks ready to devour you. (really, I've heard they really do have quicksand sharks). -- my analogy of course is the quicksand and sharks is my sleeve bursting and causing my dimise-- Can't picture it ???? Well, I can and I'm count'n on them sharks keeping me away from the buffet...........so don't spoil it for me.
  9. OK, here's the deal. You need to listen to exactly what I tell you about what to do. I have known you (hmmmm) for all of two minutes and that far exceeds any 12 year relationship..........ehhhhh! Not!! (do they still use that term) Really? Online personal relationship advice? That's almost as bad as comparing real life to TV.......oops, BTW........I have this gorgeous piece of slightly swampy marsh land down here near Miami, I'm looking to sell............
  10. Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my....!!!! ..............
  11. If we spend our time with regrets over yesterday, and worries over what will happen tomorrow, we have no today in which to live.
  12. Let's see.........."Size doesn't matter, it's how you use it" ..........I thought that saying was already taken??
  13. Wow, I never thought of that.....wait'll I tell the wifey. I can't do dishes, wash the car, mow the lawn, carry the laundry, bring in the groceries, empty the garbage, make the bed, ..................and pretty much need all the bed rest I can get.........yeah.....that's the ticket.
  14. Here's the gold standard for your specific recovery. Go to the lanes, pick up the ball.......throw it down the lane once.........and if you fall to the floor in agonizing pain....."It's too soon." For starters, Ask your Doc.
  15. Yep. Second and third and forth and fif...............................................................
  16. For every doctor that touts the virtues of a procedure, I can find three that will refute it. And that goes for research data as well. Get a couple of opinions and make your best decision on what YOU think is best for you and you're most comfortable going thru. (Going thru as in; Both the surgery and the post surgical adjustments)
  17. If it's a normal recovery and if the project only involves talking and pointing and no physical, manual type work other than walking.......... then recover at work or recover at home......same difference. Take the pain meds and see what happens. Keep in mind, there is no way of knowing what your recovery will entail beforehand. Alot of "ifs" Plus, on meds you might be a little fuzzy.........I hope the project isn't an Air traffic Controller or Pharmacists or the like .....?!
  18. You obviously got the Schrader Valve procedure. It is used in many surgeries. Doctors sometimes overlook telling the patient or typically don't explain it in sufficient detail. It is when they install a small Schrader valve in and inconspicuous location and then during recovery they come in at night and inflate the surgical area to a size that is sometimes even larger than before surgery. No- one knows exactly why. Probably the reason you experience gas pains as well. No worries, gradually it will deflate and the valve dissolves on it's own after a period of time. And for some reason if you ask your Surgeon later, he will deny any knowledge of it. Go figure.
  19. Treasure our little corner of the room cause it's not much different here either.
  20. could be.......Being Guys, we would probably have to see it render a proper diagnosis.......(hey.....ya gotta post here at your own risk)
  21. Ok look Christy, most insurance companies will allow you to use your pre-op process for a period of time after it's completed. So Relax. Now, forget all the other stuff I said except the part about the therapist. Make some more appointments and talk it all out. Do not make a rushed decision. Calm down. You'll find your answers.
  22. The doubt itself would be the first reg flag. Is it fear of the surgery and the pain or discomfort ? Or is it fear of possible long term complications? You'll get over the pain and discomfort, but the risk of irreversible complications is real and should not be taken lightly. Getting ready is not getting surgery and that's why your questioning it as it gets close. And you should. If the weight is not life threatening at this point and you feel you haven't tried hard enough to lose without the surgery......then try. Be sure. Try to follow the same diet and lifestyle changes to lose that you would if you had the surgery with the mindset that the surgery is your only other option. Maybe take in a couple more sessions with the therapist. By all means, be sure and if you choose the surgery, "own it". You will be the one living with it the rest of your life, so don't let anyone else make that decision for you.
  23. Times 3, Go ahead, get it out. Frustration will do that. It's not what I expected, it hurts, why me, I don't want to do this anymore........ Life doesn't always work out like we plan. When you've been around as long as I have you go thru all those experiences and emotions many many times. And you will have many many more to come. However, it's not as hopeless as it seems right now. Come to terms with where you are and what lies ahead and let go of the past. You can't and won't get it back. Once you realize that, you can put more effort into striving for a more positive and hopeful outlook. It can and most likely will get better. But it starts and ends with you right now. I know you can't see months down the road or even want to think it will take months. The leak and the healing and the meds doing their job, won't happen immediately. Give it time. Get on board and help yourself heal and you will make it those months and reach your goal. Think about why you started this. You gonna be there looking back on this and realize you beat those obstacles. What lies ahead is finding out how strong you can be. So don't give up now. You have alot of life to live yet, and you're gonna need that strength to live it. Good Luck.
  24. Minn 52.... Pass on 'em.......go to another Surgeon. If you're uncomfortable with the Surgeon & or the staff......and especially if they aren't on board with your choice to go with the sleeve. Even if you have to travel farther away, find someone else. When I had my knees replaced, I went to 5 Surgeons for consults before I felt satisfied. Was well worth it too.
  25. Now see, it's all in the point of view...........I would never complain about carrying that.!!
