Preop diet question
Ok so I started a preop diet and have the choice of two shakes and a high protein diner or follow some examples of dinners and snacks. Question. If I am taking a shake in the morning and a shake in the afternoon then the dinner I am still feeling really hungry. Is there any fat free and still shrink my liver snacks I could try?

Pork Tenderloin Ideas?
I'm on my pre op diet and have opted for Breakfast Shake, Lunch Shake, and a high protein low fat diet. I bought a piece of Pork Tenderloin and was wondering if anyone knew any tasty recipes without ruining my liver shrink diet?

Preop Diet Optins
I am starting my preop diet tomorrow and I was given two choices. A. Follow the diet they give me which is protein and low fat options. B. Shake for morning shake for lunch and a high protein low fat for dinner. I am leaning towards the shakes because I read that you can lose more weight and it is just easier for me. Wanted to see others inputs on here that have either gone through it or are going through it now. Also I would liek to have some recommendations on what shakes are good and which are bad taste wise and quality and price. Thanks Everyone

waiting for a surgery date.
I just realized that I screwed up this week. I made a mistake im sure many have made of "ill eat whatever I want cause after surgery it wont matter". Feel like crap now. I have my last nutrition class tonight and I start my pre op diet soon. Maybe ill just do it from tomorrow on and get with the program. Anyone else go through this. I was told that I will be looking at the second week of April but I moght get in sooner if there is a cancellation. Just want to get this going.

I fear that may have come out wrong I feel like I should explain. I LOVE Griffin hospital. That's the only downfall of getting the surgery done at Rays. I had attended his seminar at St. Vincent's and personally having a medical background I did not feel comfortable with the answers I was getting. I was referred to my doctor by several people that used him in the past. I didn't mean to sound nasty I hope I didn't come across that way. And hey we will hopefully be around the same time having surgery so we could go through together

Ok cool I wasnt sure because of the time involved if they would have to intubate or not. Drains made me a bit nervous but hey we shall cross that bridge when I get to it right? How was the preop diet? Some people say its tough although I thought the ketosis diet was terrible enough so I figure that was the hardest part.

Did they have to intubate you? Did you need drains?
