  2. Today was my daughter's 6th birthday guys, and I'm Just almost a week into my pre-op diet, and with all the stress and trying to talk and please everyone and entertain... I MESSED UP.... I had a slurp of (corona) beer, a piece of chocolate sponge cake with fresh cream, wedges, and chicken with batter on it (southern style),I didn't even think, Its like I was in fast forward speeding through all that food/carbs/sugar... just after I downed a whole piece of chicken and was feeling super-full my brother goes: 'Hey, are supposed to be eating ANY of this?'... and it dawned on me... hit me like a tonne of bricks... slammed me in the face... WHAT THE HELL HAVE I DONE... its now 7.30 and I stopped eating at about 4pm..and the guilt is KILLING ME, not only that but I'm so worried that I won't be able to recover from here... I only have a week and 2 days left... will my liver shrink in time if I'm hella good from here on out? Be honest, has anyone else MASSIVELY EFFED UP like I just did today? were you ok for surgery day? HELP

  4. I start every reply with OMG ... It's my headache it makes me either care too much like a ditz or not care at all like a skitz :-(
  5. Margie... Yet to check my mail - but no phone yet .... I'll be honest I couldn't stand the thought of shakes today - I had a berroca, skim cappuccino and a salad and a fruit juice ... I'm making myself some kale salmon and beans with a bit of miso soup... The thought of shakes Is making me sick ...OMG I suck at this :-(
  6. OMG Dean, I just read that your surgeon was George, he's doing mine as well at the holy spirit... tell me a bit about your experience - PLEASE!!! Whats the hospital like ? - what was your pain/gas pains like? - how is his bed-side manner? - I'm getting mine after 11.30am ... was yours early in the morning or close to midday like mine?
  7. Thanks for the Support... Honestly it is so so soooo comforting... my brain is in meltdown - its amazing to feel how much food has such a firm grip on me.
  8. Hey puppyphat... I'm having it done at the Chermside Holyspirit Hospital and the surgeon is George Hopkins... my nutritionist is Margie brooke. What about you?? I'm not sure if I've over done my portions tonight, a few long green Beans and a rectangle portion of salmon... I had about a 1/3 cup of chicken at lunch too (amongst shakes..)... and seriously considering another shake before bed...Sh** I'm not good at this....TOTALLY ADDICTED TO food...
  9. I really appreciate that... I wish they'd get back to me ... I'm gonna take the CS until told otherwise ... It's better than filling up on rice and pasta??!! ... Especially in my portion sizes lol... Day 1 and I'm on the worst shake on the shelf ! GREAT!
  10. Guys I'm on my pre-op diet day 1....and my nutritionist is not responding, so can I ask is celebrity slim ok as a protein shake? ....BTW they are delicious, especially strawberry, not overbearingly sweet and with water its really smooth to drink...
  11. Hey Fellow aussies!! My surgery date is 26/03/2013 - so I started my pre-op diet today - my dietician was really relaxed about my diet - I because I'm healthy (no pressure or sugar etc. issues) and I'm smaller... she actually was NOT going to put me on a pre-op diet at all - until I quickly mentioned my liver is slightly enlarged... when I brought up shakes, I mentioned I had some body BSc women's shakes in my pantry and she just shrugged and said any shake is fine... but some of these Protein shakes do have a considerable amount of carbs in them - I've tried emailing and calling her sending her pics of the nutritional info of the shakes I'm taking, but no response yet... so I'm turning to you guys on this forum... I bought some celebrity slim as well, coz its on special at woolies at the moment... please tell me if these two: BSc Body women shakes (swisse choc) and the celebrity slim range are ok for pre-op to reduce the liver size...???? THANK YOU SO MUCH...and OMG celebrity slim strawberry is a GOD-SEND.
  12. Hey guys - I'm on day 1 - surgery date is 26th of march ... Just to let you know my nutritionist/dietician said I can space out my shakes to 6 times a day by using 1 scoop in double the water (also by default increasing your hydration) - its easier to drink because its thinner too ... I'm on my third so far (or technically 1 and a half shakes and very hydrated)... Try it out... But I haven't eaten at all - contemplating some fruit but I can hardly keep my eyes open so I'm gonna take a nap instead... Cheers from Aus!
  13. Currently love Bsc Body shake in chocolate from Woolies... but its not a meal replacement just a craving curber... any suggestions on the best tasting protein shakes on our Aussie market??
  14. I sleeve on the 26th too...seeing the dietician on Friday, I've bough optislim soup and body Bsc Chocolate shake (I've lost weight on it before).... and cans of soup
  15. Anyone else going with George or has had George sleeve them already...Please tell me what your experience was like..thanks!
