About Me

  • Biography
My name is Pat, and I am a recovering food-junkie.

My name is Pat, and my story started since I was a teenager. I am now heading into my 40's with the same BMI number. I struggled with my weigh for most of my life. As a teenager, I was fluctuating between 60-65KG, and looking back now, I realize that wasn't so bad as my height did not increase since those years.
My struggled started when I arrived in the United States for my Bachelor degree. I enjoyed the culture and of crouse the food. I climbed up to 75kg upon my first summer home to Thailand for the holidays.

From there onward, I have been yoyoing anywhere from 95-125kg. I always believed that I could just put my mind to it and lose the weigh. That never happedned.

I was a successful dieter and exerciser, but I never managed to keep the weigh from coming back, after the 'dieting' stopped.

As I headed into my late 3o's, I have not developed any co-morbidities considering my weigh of over 100kg, but I knew it was only a matter of time. So, I started thinking about this drastic procedure called VSG.

I did all my own researches and spent the time with my nutritionist and surgeon before I decided that this would the right thing for me. In Thailand, where I live, baratric surgery are still relatively uncommon amongst Thai's, although this is fast-changing because of the infiltration of Westernized fast-food.

I losted 4kg on a high-protein diet and exercise regime prior to my VSG procedure on the 18th of February 2013.

The real journey has already just began for me. I am inspired that I have finally found the missing tool to help me live a healthier lifestyle. I have the full support of my family, and I am taking it day-by-day, with the enormous supports of my doctors.

I look forward to learning the ropes with my fellow sleevers!
