  1. Good luck! (And to all of you going in today!) Hope everyone who has been sleeved already is feeling well!
  2. I am in Prairieville, just out of BR. I know Woman's hospital has support groups that are great (that's where I'm having my surgery, and I plan to attend soon). They are open to anyone, not just patients at Woman's. Check out their website www.womans.org
  3. I'm in the BR area and my surgeon is Ballinger. Sounds like y'all are doing fabulously!
  4. Oh, I meant to say: I am seeing Dr. Bellanger in Baton Rouge! He is fabulous and has never ever had a leak!
  5. Coco.c: God may not be saying no, he may be saying "not right now," to allow you maybe a little more time. We don't have to understand. He will tell you more than once if it is not right, so don't be discouraged.
  6. Newnay: why did you make this decision? Do those reasons still stand? Do you believe you can do this for yourself? We can't offer physical support (that's not a fat joke, lol, just a distance statement!), but emotional and mental support is openly shared. How many days preop are you?
  7. Julie, we have to be buddies! I'm on the 25th! Good luck on your liquids, I don't have to do that, but I am making changes now to get used to post-op diet.
  8. Hi! I'm scheduled for March 25, and saw my surgeon today to discuss questions. I didn't really have any because I have researched a lot. I am SO excited!
  9. I understand completely. It's admitting that you need help with something that not everyone needs help with. It's hard. You have to make the decision for yourself, though, about what is best for you, not what was best for a friend or relative. I have heard that from others in my own life that I should just quit eating and be on the post-surgery diet and I'd lose weight. And I would, but I know I'd gain it back plus some. I know what I need, and I need this. Hope you can come to a good place with what you want and need.
  10. How did it go? I'm scheduled for 3/25 with Bellanger at Woman's.
