    Finally sleeved

It's probably the anesthesia. I was sleeved on 4/2 and nausea was horrible the 1st two days. It will improve each day though. Congratulations on starting your new life!!

    any march 25th sleevers

I was scheduled for the 25th but just got a call from my surgeon and he has a family emergency. Looks like I might be on the schedule for the 27th now. It is actually a blessing because we are expecting bad weather on Monday which was making me wonder how the roads would be on the way to the hospital. Anyhow, I wish all of you the best on the 25th. Ill be joining you on your journey shortly after

    any march 25th sleevers

I'm scheduled for march 25th. Only a couple days to go!!
  7. I quit smoking 1/6/13...cold turkey. I did it because of 2 reasons...smoking is bad and nasty and I want this surgery! For the 1st 3 weeks it was like breaking up with a boyfriend....u know he's no good for u but u can't stop Thinking about him. Lol :-P But that phase passed and I am still smoke free and loving it!! I still miss it sometimes but I know my purpose for getting sleeved is to be a healthier me and that can't happen with a cigarette in my mouth!!! I got my best friend to quit too...it's been 1 month for her. We both smoked for about 20 years. No regrets and didn't gain any weight. I traded my pack of cigarettes for stalks of celery!!
  8. I have noticed that a lot of people are having to do a pre-op diet for a couple weeks prior to surgery. My surgeon only requires a soft/liquid diet the day before surgery and that's all. Did anyone else no have to do the 2 week diet?

    No pre-op diet

Awwww...u guys are great! Thank u so much for your understanding my frustrations with the sassy one. Lol. Maybe it was the missing morning bran that had her in an uproar over my lack of knowledge of "forum rules". Oops! But Can't say that it won't happen again though. Lol I can't delete my profile so I guess I'm here to stay. and I'm glad cause u guys r great! Had a really nice conversation with someone on here that really made me thankful I'm here to learn and share. I'm doing this from my phone too so bear with me

    No pre-op diet

Wow...1st post and I will now be deleting my profile. Thank u to the 1 person that actually didn't mind chiming in to talk to me about what I wanted to talk about! As for those that apparently think I don't know how to use a forum correctly all I have to say is...wow...

    No pre-op diet

Thanks slimmingdani. Seems like our doctors have similar post-op schedules. ..I know the post-op diet is supposed to shrink the liver so I was curious as to whether the diet had any effect on how the surgery went.
