  5. I also have told everyone who will listen that I planned to have and then had the surgery. I can't imagine going through it without the support of my Mom, sons, siblings and friends. If any of them had any negative thoughts they didn't voice them. My Mom even attended all the presurgery classes with me. Even when she doesn't like my decisions she loves me. Good luck with your decision and your surgery!!!

  10. The left side was 2 months post op & the right side is 6 months & 80 pounds after surgery. Still have a way to go but this is awesome!'
  11. Hi Syd. We were sleeved the same day. Currently I've lost 80 pounds! Congrats on your success so far. I've been out a few times for cocktails since surgery and haven't experienced the burning you have. It does take much less alcohol to get a buzz now though. Maybe try a different drink? I know that some favorite foods from presurgery don't settle well now so maybe it would be the same with the alcohol. Good luck!!

  13. Be patient! As frustrating as it is for the scale NOT to move every time eventually it will. Stick to your program & don't stress about it. I'm six months out and have lost 80 lbs. I had to limit how often I weighed so I didn't get discouraged. Even now I only weigh every two weeks at the most often. I like seeing a different number on the scale and when I weighed more often I didn't always see it. Good luck!!
  14. Some general surgeons will do the TT at the same time as the hernia repair. If they code it correctly the insurance should cover it. I discussed it with my surgeon before my sleeve was done.
