Found this very interesting! This is what happens commonly after the Sleeve:) Like many of you, I have been diagnosed with PCOS as well. Would love to not have that issue anymore! I use the Nuvaring birth control, so I'm hoping I don't have any post op surprises! ugh.- ANY APRIL SURGERIES?....

I just got my tentative date of April 22, 2013...just waiting on the official word!! SO excited!! can't wait!!!- Super Nurses With Sleeves (Support Group)
13 days and feeling fine! That's fabulous! hope to follow in your foot steps! I have my psych/nutrition appts tomorrow, then I get everything submitted to my insurance. I'm planning on a tentative April 25th date. With that said, I'd like to be back to work by May 13th at the latest. Perhaps my question to you is, knowing the demands of our career....if you had to go back to work tomorrow, could you physically do it? I appreciate the insight!- Is the sleeve the first surgery for anyone?
I'm still pre-op. I had an emergent c-section back in 2006. Recovery was rough, and the surgery was not planned, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat because I got the most amazing gift in the world...my son <3! Now with this (planned) surgery I have time to build up anxiety and plan. But I see the end result of this as a gift too...improving my health & quality of life, as well as adding years to my life to spend with first gift I think a good attitude and a positive outlook to the future put you steps ahead for a quick and healthy recovery!- didn't think it would be so fast
I'm in the same boat. I'm 33, no real Co-morbities. BMI: 42-ish. I already had CXR, blood work, etc completed when I met with my surgeon. Later that day I received clearance from a cardiologist. I see the psych/nutritionist next week and am too planning on an April surgery date. I'm so excited, and completely ready I've been researching and contemplating WLS for >10 years! 2013 is my year!!- Super Nurses With Sleeves (Support Group)
Hi Ballermom! I saw you were sleeved 2/27/13! yay! How are you feeling since surgery? I am an ER nurse as well, and I was planning on going back to work in 2 weeks. What's your opinion on that? - Tried on my pre-surgery pants!
