August 2nd!!! One week till luquids

Suck it up! If you can't do this chances are you are going to have trouble not only losing all the weight but keeping it off. Like others have said you risk getting tour licer knicked because you didn't shrink the liver, the surgeon simply closing you up and cancelling your operation for jon compliance (waking up without the procedure) or having the surgeon need to switch to an open surgery. Follow your instructions before and after or you are going to risk seriously hurting yourself

I'm in Orlando. Surgery set for August 2nd with Dr Keith Kim at Celebration health.

I told EVERYONE. I am kind of making ut my mission to inform people on the surgery and how we arent taking the "lazy" route... I hate that there is such a bad rep for those of us making this huge decision. :-)

Ok so I am doing my paperwork for my pre op appointment... I am 3.5 weeks out from surgery and am having to read through and initial a list of every possible complication... I have been totally fine and not at all worried about surgery till now... now I'm kinda freaking out... not enough for me to reconsider surgery but just enough to finally say... I'm kinda scared

If you stick to the diet exactly and make sure you are getting the liquids and do the exercise... the weight will fall off

Starry, They didnt care at all... :-) it was seamless with Dr Medina just makae sure you bring her a disk of your chest xray

Insurance approved Monday! They recoeved all my clearances by Thursday just waiting on the call to schedule

Got the call today I was APPROVED!!!

Dont worry about losing what they tell you too... with the diet the doc puts you on before (to shrink your liver) if you stick to it you WILL lose it!!!

Submitting either today or tomorrow so excited! Just depends on when my patient advocate recieves my paperwpork fax. I'm in Orlando going to see Dr Keith Kim and have finished all of my surgical clearances for his office. Super excited fingers crossed praying we hear Monday.

Well surgery might be a ways off my first availability was a month out and they wont fully schedule until you have all your clearances and you have lost whatever weight they asked you to lose. GL!!!

If you need pulmonary clearance then I highly recommend Pulminary Institute they got me in two days after I called. Dr Kims reccomendation couldnt see me until mid July.

Met with Dr Kim in wednesday and he gave me my list of surgical clearances... I need pulmonology, chest xray, h pylori, and an ekg. Pulmonology is tomorrow (they will do the chest xray) ekg was today and I will stop by and get h pylori test tomorrow as well. I am looking at July 5th for surgery

So my patiemt advocate said on wednesday if I could get all of my surgical clearances done this week I could be looking at July 5th!!! Thats in 4 weeks!!! Pulmonology squeezed me in tomorrow and PCP squeezed me in today for EKG... I'm so excited I cant wait!

On the sheet from the info session in april of 2013 the self pay was $17, 905. I have my first consult on June 5 I'm super excited I have all of my insurance requirements done or coming up. Psych eval next week nut eval on the third.

Ok so we recently moved and I just had an appointment with my new pcp today and I have a question. He wants to do 3months supervised diet and I'm totally ok with that it could be a lot worse since today is the first day I have met him. Insurance does not have a length of time requirement. Heres the question. Do I do the supervised diet and then all the other appointments BEFORE submitting to insurance or does thw psych eval and NUT appointments happen in the next three months?

I am in the public eye a lot so even though I am just starting the process I am completley open and honest about this journey. When you sing in front of a couple thousand peiple you cant hide much...

I'm in orlando just starting the process... worried because we just moved and my prev pcp retired hoping this new doc wont want me to do another 6+ months of supervised diet. I really hope he can look at my records and decide this is necessary for me.
