Anyone want to meet up!?Hey everyone! I'm in Mexico now...just checked in at the Marriott. I feel so comfortable here!!! If anyone would like to meet up send me a message!Just curious...how much did everyone lose on their preop diet?Now that it's been confirmed that insurance will not be paying for my surgery....can anyone who has used Dr Ariel Ortiz tell me what their process was like?How much is the cost if you are getting the surgery in Mexico?I called them this morning to find out if I was approved and that's when they told meThey don't call my insurance company until they have all the papers. It's beyond a medical necessity at this point. If I don't have this surgery I will probably drop dead! In the long run it will only cost them more $$$ by me not being able to have this life saving procedure!!I started this process in February. Everything is done. Surgery is next week. Today I was denied because my insurance doesn't cover bariatric surgery. Is there anything I can do?????Me too! I'm obsessedCalled my surgeons office today to make sure bloodwork and EKG was good. They said they submitted to insurance and now I'm freaking out. Surgery is tentative for 7/3 and if I get denied I'll be devastated. I don't have any symptoms. I'm just frustrated bc I think the meal I ate on Sunday just sat in my stomach (heavy) and that's why food was in there.
