  1. I am having my surgery march 6 too! Dr. Ponce at Int hospital. I should be sleeping but I a wide awake.
  2. Thanks NurseDee! I appreciate that.
  3. I will be heading to Mexico march 6 and expect to have my surgery that same day with Dr. Ponce.
  4. I agree! That sounds scary! I am a Rn and that does not sound like a sterile field to me.
  5. I am a RN from Texas. Unfortunately I can't get too detailed because my coworkers don't know what I am having done. My bmi isn't high enough for insurance to pay so I will be heading to Mexico this Wednesday with Dr. Ponce Deleon. My best friend who is also a Rn will be going with me. She had the same surgery a little over a year ago with the same Dr. I feel better knowing that she is knowledgable in the medical field and that she has already "been there and done that". My biggest worry is that I will not come back alive and the position that will put my family in. My husband is supportive but worried. He eats healthy and works out daily. I feel like he thinks that if I would just do what he does that I could lose weight. I guess I could but I don't want to be 50 and having to go to the gym daily. I am nervous about going in to Mexico and not knowing the language. I plan on updating how my Mexico experience goes for anyone who is also considering this. Thanks.
  6. You know how people will type "lol" and you wonder "did they really laugh out loud?" I wasn't sure where you were going with this story then you got to the vomiting in the red clutch and I actually did "LOL". Bless your heart but thanks for the insight. I will be sleeved March 6 and its stories like this that allow me to learn from others mistakes. Fast thinking on your part.
  7. My surgery is scheduled march 6. I should have started the preop diet also but I haven't really. I guess I use the fact that my Bmi is 32 as a excuse. I keep thinking that 7 days before I will start a full liquid diet.
  8. I will be sleeved March 6. I keep seeing people talk about Isopure. What is it and where do I get it?
  9. My surgery date is also March 6 at INT hospital with Dr. Ponce Deleon. Yeah! It's getting close.
  10. I will be having my surgery March 6 with Dr. Jaime Ponce Deleon. I plan on posting my experience here. It has been so helpful to read other people's detailed account about the whole process in Mexico. I think we all have many questions and concerns and this forum post the good, the bad and the ugly.
  11. I notice thatmany of you are referring to the price as less. How much did you guys have to pay at this horrible place? I will be having mine done march 6 at INT hospital with Dr Jaime Ponce Deleon.
  12. What does injury chicken soup mean? I will be heading to Mexico March 6 with Dr. Ponce Deleon. Another question: do planes have wifi? I have Netflix loaded on my iPad and was wondering if I would be able to watch a movie.
