  1. If she has lost more then you....she probably feels superior. You will take that away from her. My son in law says that to me...I tell him I wish it was as easy as you are making it out to be...all of my appointments and the journaling and exercising when the time comes the liquid diet I really don't know how many of us have worked this hard for something...I know for me it is one of the toughest things I've ever done!! BE STRONG!
  2. I was at 40 BMI (with no co's) when I started and have lost some weight in the process. I freaked out and called my BCBS FED and they say they go by my first visit. They also said me losing weight shows them I am committed to the change in life style. Best of Luck to you!!
  3. Can I ask a question about the cpap...I am very very claustrophobic and wondered about having something over my face. I go in for a sleep study next week. Did anyone have a problem with it?
  4. I am going through a 6 month program and the pshyc dr told me to keep a journal not just for food but for thoughts and any fears or concerns and bring it in to the group sessions or with the nut when I see her. She said even if I thought it was silly to write it down and show them....they want to keep me as stress free as possible....stress keeps us from losing weight and she said they don't want that....she said over and over...we want you to be successful and informed in your decision. I have to say that made me feel so relaxed and confident in this journey.
  5. I appreciate you posting this...helps all of us to remember that it is one day at a time.... You pulled yourself up and carried on! Love it!
  6. I go in the 28th for the sleep study. I met with the doctor today and he looked at my throat and said you have sleep apnea...I was like are you physic...He said no just been doing this for a while! LOL I am interested in how you made out. Please come back and let us know!
  7. I talked it over with my Husband and my Mother first because my mom and I own a business together so she would have to pick up the slack while I was down. Once they were on board I told my 3 kids (all adults). My Aunt came for a visit and I had my Nut visit and I told her I was going....she has yet to let up on my making a big mistake by doing the surgery....I can now see the need to be more careful who I tell. From now on I will be very very selective!!!
  8. I did the same thing last week. I am hoping to have the surgery by the summer and wanted to start fresh!
