It has been FOUR weeks everyone! Congrats and I hope everyone is doing well

I am still on full liquids! My doc won't move me until I get in the required amount of Protein.

Still on liquids lol my friendsl was sleeved she watches the food channel...that only makes me think im hungry

I haven't tried melatonin since vicodin doesn't even work. Im gonna try not napping today and see how tonight goes.

Hey fellow sleevers! Anyone else having trouble sleeping? I know insomnia is a side effect, but this sucks

I will arriving at the hospital 12 hours from now. Not quite nervous yet...this Magnesium Citrate has kept me busy! How is everyone else doing?

I am being sleeved in the morning. My surgeon did not require me to lose weight. I have a 48 hr. Liquid diet, and that's it.

That is exactly how I feel! I have been thinking of doing this for at least the past 3 -4 years. Honestly, I used to think that it was "taking the easy way out". I finally buckled down and did some honest research. I now realize that in NO WAY is this the easy route. I am in California, so I will be doing it here in Clovis, CA.

I am still at work, so time is flying by so quickly that I barely had time to notice that we only have 3 DAYS LEFT! I went to my pre-op appointment yesterday, pre-registered at the hospital, gone grocery shopping, and picked up my post-op prescriptions! I have not been able to decide what to bring yet. And even better I have not had time to get nervous!

Yay! More 3/11 sleevers! Amberlydw8 it looks like fletcherette will be sleeved in Mexico. GOOD LUCK to everyone....we have EXACTLY one week left!

Laying in bed this morning I realized that I am a day shy of surgery in only two weeks! I will be sleeved March11th, and I wish I could press fast forward. Anyone else being sleeved 3/11/13?

I was having trouble with the idea of having surgery. I then started to think about food as an addiction. I asked myself whether or not a drug addict or an alcoholic who had the option to have surgery would do it, and whether or not their choice to do so would be frowned upon. This helped me with my decision to get the sleeve. This is a GREAT post. Thanks!

I just got a date of 3/11/13. That is coming up quick! My paperwork is currently under review by Anthem. I didn't have a surgery date, so I called and ask when my patient coordinator thought it would be and she went ahead and scheduled me right away. I will be taking FMLA paid and need to get my paperwork done ASAP. I am kinda glad its so quick because I don't have time to worry.

Better you find out now so that you can start making necessary adjustments. That is one of my fears. A guy that I was dating asked me not to get surgery! It was almost offensive. When I went to the psych eval, the therapist explained that there are some people who would rather you stay larger because in some way or another, it makes them feel better. You are doing what you need to do for yourself...and that is all that matters! Good riddance!

Congrats! I didn't realize how excited I would be about such a seemingly small step. I pray that you have a speedy approval :-D
